[ALL] Buzzman's Most Anticipated Games of Q1(Jan-Mar)

    Buzzman's Most Anticipated Games

    #6 | Crysis 2 (Multi – March 22)

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1YDkLIGtqU[/ame]

I’m not a pc gamer, but that still doesn’t mean I haven’t heard of Crysis 1. It was a technological masterpiece. The gameplay on the other hand is a little unknown to me. I have no idea how it feels or how it will be played online, but the developers have been talking up a shitload of smack about their game. They announced a multiplayer for Jan 25th. We’ll get our first taste of what could be a great game.

    #5 | Bulletstorm (Multi – February 22)

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ty1H29WMgkE[/ame]

This isn’t a typical first person shooter because believe it or not it’s not reliant on a competitive multiplayer at all. It’s an arcade type score shooter that challenges you to actually be aware of your environment and try and rack up the highest score chain possible. The game looks like a riot and a blast to play. This is the only FPS on this list I know for a fact will satisfy my expectations.

    #4 | LittleBigPlanet 2 (PS3 – January 18)

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ky-JUL0SDDs[/ame]

The first LittleBigPlanet was amazing with its creativity. Whole other worlds were created with things that didn’t seem possible. Now imagine everything they gave you plus 10x more shit to put in the game and you have a tiny glimpse of what LBP2 is going to be. Every trailer and videos from the trailer show that creativity will never die and only get better as the game gets older and people have more time to make badass levels.

    #3 Dragon Age 2 (Multi – March 8)

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=750KflE-Yew[/ame]

I’m barely five hours into the first game, but I already know I can’t wait to play this and I won’t wait forever like the last game. It is probably the only true RPG on consoles right now. It also is one damn fine franchise overall made by probably the best developers in the business today.

    #2 | Homefront (Multi – March 8)

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuCcZnVPDpc[/ame]

As you might see from this list, shooters make up a 3rd of the list. I think that speaks volumes to how poor Black Ops is. In the past I’ve been held over in the FPS genre with Call of Duty once a year and maybe another shooter, but Black Ops has already lost its appeal on me. Homefront on the other hand has looked nothing short of awesome. Everything from the setting, story, online features have looked like it could be a game-changer in the genre. The only real question I have left is will the rumored only 2 game modes turn out to be true.

    #1 | Dead Space 2 (Multi – January 25)

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7Qy_4sWs3I[/ame]

Unlike a lot of people that played the first Dead Space, I wasn’t in love with it. I thought it was a good game, but it did a decent amount of things wrong. Due to maybe a poor 1st three months of 2011, Dead Space 2 has managed to sit atop my list for plenty of reasons. One being the demo; It was fucking fantastic. They still kept the horror feel despite a giant city, the gameplay felt a lot less clunky and attentive, and the game overall just looked better. The second reason is the multiplayer. They haven’t shown much but it is something that is very different but you can rarely mess up with co-op.

Aren't these pretty much the only games coming out in Q1?

Maybe to the casual gamer, I narrowed it to 6 out outta 14 that I wanted to play/buy.

Okay fine....MVC3, Killzone 3, Two Worlds II, FNR4, and TDU2. I guess those are games that could make a person's list.

To me, the only thing Homefront has shown that I'm overly interested in, is dedicated servers. I was bummed about the online pass thing, but at least it doesn't completely lock you out. So I wont have to throw money at them to get in and check it out.

I'm really only intrigued by Homefront.

Never played a Dead Space game, but horror bores me. Bulletstorm looks stupid and I haven't played DA:O, so I won't get #2 for a while.

My list would be the same as Buzzman's with the exception of Killzone 3 replacing Dragon Age. I'm super hyped for KZ3 and couldn't care less about DA.

Plus L.A. Noire would be on there. Isn't that still slated for Q1?

I don't think LA Noire or Socom are in ym Q1 which is Jan-Mar. Doesn't gaming have a weird way like March 31st is the end of Q4 for them.

According to GS L.A. Noire releases 04/05 so it would just miss Q1.
