    [ALL] Bulletstorm Demo Impressions

demo came out yesterday and im sure most of you have given it a try, so what you think?

i thought it was pretty fun. this game has totally been under the radar for me so i didnt really know what to expect. seemed to be kinda difficult (in regards to getting good combos and higher points). looks like a lot of practice is needed to really get the hang of it. its not your standard third person shooter and i like that. im still not sure if its a game i would drop 60 bucks on but i definitely plan on checking it out

I think we got only a small sample of whats to come, the game combination of combos can end up being very badass.

I know it's a very small sample, hell they even tell you that like five times in the demo, but I was not impressed. Slow motion shooting? FEAR did it better? Chaining combos? The Club did that.

Plus creative games like this always prove too daunting for me. As much as I loved SSX and the NBA Street games I found myseld pulling off the same combos with the same button presses that came most comfortable to me. Which is exactly what happened during the demo.

      I'll get it when it's $20.

          played it a lil yesterday.
i like the flail gun, it was the one that had the 2 explosives on the chain. i used that until i ran out of explosives. it was average. not a game i would buy when released, but may get for 20 bucks or so

i thought the game looked like it may have a lot of potential. it looks amazing and has that coolish high style type of atmosphere like borderlands has. the problem though is the gameplay wasnt all that thrilling or fun. its a different kind of shooter so i give them credit for trying something new. but i dont know that what they are trying is going to fly

I don't think the demo is a solid assessment of the game. The trailers make it look like a boss-driven game, so I'll wait and see what the final product looks like.

                  That last video was hilarious.

"Rank up! Sergeant Sergeant Master Sergeant Shooter Person!"

Shitting all over CoD. Reminds me a little of the Bad Company 2 ad campaign.

I played the demo too, but I still dont know how I feel about it. At first I was like whoa cool. Then I did the same combo like 26x and it wasnt on purpose. Then i was like meh, maybe I suck, maybe its just me....Well see tho

Something seems fishy to me with those reviews. Not only did the game seem like nothing special but Eurogamer gave it a 9?!? Those dickheads hardly ever give out an 8, let alone a 9. A combo score driven shooter? Really?

I guess you're right but I try to live in denial when it comes to that stuff in the hopes that there is still some integrity left in gaming journalism.
