Zetterberg wins it in shootout!
In the first game of the year the Red Wings headed off to Calgary to face off with the Flames. The game was filled with big hits from both teams and many shots on goal. Hossa and Franzen led both teams with 5 shots on goal but nothing came of it. At the end of regulation both teams were scoreless and looking to end it in OT. Opportunities came, including power plays, but still both Osgood and Kiprusoff were unstopable. It took to penalty shots and both teams first two shooters were stopped. Then came Henrik Zetterberg, he skated up, made two good dekes and then fired the puck in the back of the net. It then came up to Langkow to win the came but Osgood came up big again and the Red Wings ended up with their first win of the season
