There's also a nice damage bonus when SOFLAM is used with guided missles.

According to the battlelog you can lock on without soflam targeting, it is just that if it is soflam'ed you don't need to be able to see it to lock onto it

"A Smart Target-Activated Fire and Forget shell that can lock on to and track enemy land vehicles and can acquire laser-designated targets even if they are out of line-of-sight."

It is my next unlock for the tanks, and I will be working feverishly to unlock them and find out. I have found that I am an excellent gunner, but when it comes to gunning and driving I am not as good.

Your BF3 Tip of the Day: don't sprint around and expect to have accurate fire when you suddenly come up on an enemy. It's better to just take it slow sometimes.

How do you unlock SOFLAM? What class?

Recon, and unless you enjoy sniping, it's a pain in the ass to get IMO due to the limitations in support actions (healing/resupplies/etc.) for the class.

There are some vehicle unlocks that paint targets as well.

I do have it unlocked though. So if anyone is willing to roll with the Javelin or guided missles on their vehicle of choice, I'll gladly slap one down and mark some targets for you.

On PS3 we just searched for it in the Sony Store and clicked download if that helps you any

It downloads automatically if you have the limited edition.

I'm pretty sure I am best at just staying on the ground. I flew a jet around for 2 matches, never crashed, but couldn't hit the broadside of a barn.

Oh and by chance if you don't already know playing as an engineer. If there is a sniper way far away annoying you, get a few hits on him with your gun then fire a RPG(accounting for drop over distance), enemy killed every time :coolugh:

I've racked up 25 RPG kills in the past 2 days, going for that CQB-895 or whatever gun.
