Just picked up the Sony 7.1 surround headphones for this game.

About to test them out on Madden since it is the only game I currently own

The sound with my TB's were amazing. The sound of the guns and explosions..

Sound is good, really like the fact that any setting I change on the headphone buttons gives me an on-screen cue to tell me what I just did.

Bass could be a little better on 7.1 though. I'll report back later after I try it on MW2

That reminds me, have you ever changed the BC2 sound to "War Tapes"? Holy shit.

Yeah, I like the on-screen input as well. Did you get a chance to use them with the BF3 beta? Nevermind, looks like you just got em. The beta sounded great through those headphones to me even though DICE said the sound would be even better in the retail version.

I tried them out with Madden too and wasn't that impressed. How did they sound with MW2? I think that headset is great for the price.

Yeah I wasn't expecting much out of Madden because their isn't much to take advantage of in the surround department, but it still sounded good for what it was.

COD sounds great, going back to it after the BF3 demo I can tell that the sounds aren't as realistic, but the 7.1 simulated surround works great, I could definitely tell what was where around me, and the footsteps...the footsteps...such a huge advantage.

Can't wait for BF3 now, even though I was already pumped :D

And that War tapes vid makes me even more excited.

I have the TB X41's and absolutely love them. At some point I'd like to get the PX5's.

Honestly i wish this game was shipping with more than 9 maps.

EDIT: But its not so bad considering the Back to Karkand maps as well.
