They (EA) did the same thing with Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor. I'm not sure why some people are surprised or even upset by it. IMO a lot of the better guns are either the class default or unlocked early on anyway.

Played some with the new patch today. Really liked what it offered, plus no Frag Rounds was HEAVEN.

Love the simplified squad menu and the lack of waiting for a match to begin. I didn't feel like tanks were necessarily THAT much easier to destroy without coordination between engineers.

Also, I LOVE the new option to rent a server. Will come in extremely handy for a certain community game night coming up soon...

One of the best things about the rented servers is that people are opening "flight school" servers where you can go to learn to fly jets and helis without much worry of being shot down while an admin is present.

I played last night on hardcore with 200% tickets and holy hell. I played 2 maps and an hour and a half later I was finished lol. Racked up alot of XP tho

I did that as well, except it was on Rush, which is fucking stupid. Server was heavily slanted towards the attacking team.

Its unranked so it wont screw with your Score Per Minute for those that care about it.

Finished a Metro 1000+ ticket conquest match from start to finish today. When one team isn't completely dominating the other, this can be very fun and a very easy way to unlock equipment for the Support class.

If I wanted to play CoD i would buy CoD.

Really annoying at the direction they've gone.

I think I've ranted about this before too but this game as a whole I'm not really feeling it even at this point. I don't know what it is but I find myself getting frustrated more often then not whereas back in the bf2/bf2142 days I literally spent well over 1000 hours on each game.

Explain this to me because I just heard about this today. Why is renting servers a good idea? It almost sounds to me that you're just guaranteeing a party stays together. So I have to pay because their matchmaking and party system is fucked up?

There's no way to answer this without saying either "that's the way it is" or "they do it already on PC and they don't complain... much."

$2 to practice using helicopters and jets all day isn't too terrible when you aren't under threat of getting shot down or C4'd out of the sky due to a TK.

That and the option to not have to play with randoms that suck helps.
