I'm a few hours in now. I like the fact that you didn't really lose any of the basic powers from the first game (which I DL'd as one of my two free ones).

The best advice I can give for the huge monsters - throw cars at them. Knocks a good chunk of their health down.

    Storyline wise:

I just absorbed my third thing for the RFI.

Popped the game in about an hour ago.

It was nice to get some perks for finishing up my Evil Playthrough, especially with the game starting me off at Level 1 Thug; No muss, no fuss.

Now I'm shocking birds out of the air and hunting blast shards like it's the only thing in the game to do... gonna be a LONG weekend. :D

Yeah, the UGC missions could make the game almost limitless if done correctly, although I have my doubts. I was actually trying one of the Sucker Punch ones earlier and TWICE it glitched on me. Basically it was a mission where I had to live capture these grenadier dudes. Well, the first time as I go to do the last one we were right near the water. I incapacitate him but as I go to trap him some asshole enemy snipes me from a roof which pushes me in the water. Just enough so that I shock the water and kill the enemy. There was no way to finish the mission. I reloaded and tried again basically teh same thing happened but this time the last enemy was stuck between a wall and a tree when I knocked him down and I could not get position from anywhere to trap him. I gave up.

I can see stuff like that happening a lot because there are so many things to factor into these open world sandbox games.

I did play a UGC mission that was setup like an Assassin's Creed mission and it was pretty fucking cool.

So far I've played a few hours of the game and fucking love it.

s it sad that the first thing I did after returning from Mexico was buy this game? I actually called the GS that I had reserved it at. I asked them if they were able to save me one of the pre-order posters and a Hero Edition, hoping that someone changed their mind. They said that all the Hero pre-orders did pick them up but they did have a poster. They actually said that the Hero Ed's actually are limited and that each store only got one shipment and that's all they will ever get. I' not sure how true that is. Either way I called the store in my patrol area and the manager said that had three Hero Ed's that hadn't been picked up yet. She said the game had been out almost a week so if I wanted one she would sell me one. The wife and I hit that place up on the way home and not only did I score the Hero Ed but They still had some posters left too. Sweet.

I think I played that mission Twigg, but the problem I kept having was one of the bombers on the roof kept getting downed in a spot that wouldn't let me lock onto him. I replayed he mission about 10 times before finally beating it.

Some of the missions are crazy hard too. Although I guess they would become exponentially easier with upgraded powers. There was one called "Zeke's $5 footlong" where I escorted Zeke across the street to a fucking Subway, LOL, but then you get mobbed by like 1000 enemies. It's nuts. Regular grenades don't cut it.

I did hit the second level, Hero I believe? Being able to heal multiple people at once owns.

I'm on the 1st half of the second island (they only give you two but the map's so damn big, you gotta relight portions of it just to have juice to recharge with.

The story makes sense if you go out of your way to collect dead drops and listen to all the USTV bulletins as they fit together quite nicely.

As for being "Evil," I'm not getting a sense of Cole actually becoming more of a supervillain through his actions as you the player make him do some scummy shit...

Like when they have a circle of people lying on the ground, needing you to revive them, you could just be a dick and lob an electric grenade instead.

You won't get a lot of XP but it's better than going out of your way to shoot Living Statues and Saxophone players with Ionic Storms.

                  Very far in.

                  To beat a Titan:

Knock his arms off. When he kneels down, run in and hit R1 and mash square. It took me 10 minutes the first time because I didn't know you had to run in.

I have all of the blast shards, and am one blast core away from activating the RFI. Done 60+ side missions.

Yeah, that shit is funny. I think it was part of an easter eggs video someone posted of the demo a while back.

I just hit the second island. I'm just as addicted to this one as I was the first but unfortunately I need to take a break until FUCKING SUNDAY because my wife is heading to Maine to visit her mom for a few days and as we all know she has my balls when this game is concerned. No playing without her. Ha.

I love the machine guy type bolt power. I also noticed that one of the powers that looks like it can't be unlocked until the end of the game, which makes perfect sense, gives you some blast shard locating ability. You have to complete ALL of the side missions though I think. Hopefully that will make finding those fuckers a lot easier.

That blows. I had a similar problem. When I bought the game I was sick as fuck. So I played for about 4-5 hours first day ad didnt touch it for like 3-4 days. Now that I am better, I cant put the game down.

I do wish this game had a dedicated stats screen. The first one didn't have one but you could see most of what was important when you save/load a game save. This game has some of that info but for some reason doesn't even have the "game played" stat like the first one did. I would guess I've put at least 15 hours into it.

It also has the Blast Shard and Dead Drop Locations if you REALLY want that Platinum like Twigg and myself...

I will say that Trophies are easier to get this time around if you know what you're doing.

Finished. Missed two dead drops, I think, and a few side missions. I hate when you kill a guy, get a convoy side mission, and die before you can generate it. I still had a few small places that weren't free.

                                The end is... interesting.

Also, not a huge spoiler, but...

You make a HUGE decision at the end of the game. After you win, it puts you back to before you made that decision so you can go the other way and see the other ending.
