Why I'm not a fan of Wii:

PSN's just as guilty of reselling old titles for profit from the early 90's so I won't comment on that...

(Sony's about to release a few Sega Genesis titles for about $7-$10 a pop while Nintendo's still selling that Anniversary collection of Super Mario games that have been FREE in some instances if not cheaper elsewhere.)

I will say that the Wii has just as much propensity to release shovelware as it is to sell hardcore titles with the balance shifting more toward the former as far as the whole of the Wii library goes.

That and their more original titles (MadWorld, No More Heroes, House of the Dead: Overkill, Killer 7, etc.) don't get NEARLY the amount of hype that Nintendo's in-house studio's does (Smash Brothers, the 4-player SMB title, DK Returns).

Sony and the PS3 hacking community have been engaged in a tug-of-war in recent months, ever since root access to the PlayStation 3 was gained. In addition to opening the door for unauthorized indie development on the console, that breakthrough allowed users to play pirated games and cheat online. Sony responded by threatening to ban players found to have modded their system in this way, which the company says amounts to a breach in the terms of use agreement. It appears as though that punishment is being bypassed as well, with users claiming to have found a way to circumvent and reverse such bans.

According to Destructoid, hackers can now apparently unban themselves. Even more disturbing, those users can even ban other players, provided they have access to the victim's console ID. As one hacker said last month, "The complete console is compromised – there is no way back."

And if you don't know this by now, don't give anyone access to your PS3's console ID. Seriously.
          RIP

So it's going to come down to either Sony just banning everyone on PSN outright or coming out with the PS4.

...which will get hacked to pieces within a week of release.

I might have to go back to the PS2.

The Genesis games coming out for OPSN are going to be $5, the same price MS charged for them on XBLA. I'm not sure where you are getting $7-10.

As for the SMB games being free, when/where was that?

I do agree about the original IP's on Wii though. It's a complete joke. The "hardcore" Wii owners constantly cry that their console doesn't have enough games for their fanbase but when they come out no one fucking buys them. So either the Wii's hardcore fanbase is as small as a pin head or those fucking dicks don't buy the shit they cry for.
