Running a Level 13 Purna right now.

    I have points in Guardian and Attack Formation (1 tick) for my Fury Tree;

    Blade Fighter, Vampire (1 tick), Hard Knocks (3 ticks so I get +15% on all Melee Attacks), Randori (1 tick), and Maintenance (1 tick) for my Combat Tree;

And Boost Mood, Deeper Pockets (1 tick), Picklock (1 tick) for my Survival Tree.

Aside from random missions that don't even show up on the log unless you actively seek them out (I found two by listening to radio transmissions and seeking them out), I think I'm almost all the way done with the Resort.

I have access to vehicles, 3 blue weapons and 3 greens and a pair of orange Knux that I break out on occasion if I get bored.

The two pistols I have aside from the one I get automatically while in Fury Mode are going to be saved for later.

    Etc.: 5 Mods, 15 I.D.s, 7 Heralds and 2 tapes.

...and I haven't even found the skulls yet.

We got em, but we couldn't find where to place them. We literally had no idea for like an hour and ran all over the map. Terrible.

        More thoughts:

Chapters 1 and 2 were easy going enough once you armed yourself (for an awesome beach resort, everyone seems armed to the teeth with hammers, blades and other sharp instruments... HUGE oversight in the thought of internal security on the island) and got a handle of the controls.

Chapter 3? You're no longer outside, every corridor could be filled with more zombies than you know what to do with, and it's dark.

Once that flashlight goes out, you gotta kick every body on the floor just to make sure you're not slamming the trigger buttons all day.

This game keeps getting better and better.

        EDIT: Also of note...

New console patch came out today.

ALL your challenge/trophy stats are set back to zero but you get to keep your earned trophies/cheevos.

TO CLAIRIFY: If you have a save handy, you'll keep your character's level/skills/weapon and item set for that particular save.

The patch only effected overall stat tracking before you boot up the game.
NOT an even trade but if it gets the game to work better, I'm for it...

...plus you have to play through Act 1 with all the characters to get a trophy/achievement anyway so...

has anybody considered playing or start playing multiple characters and leveling them up at the same time??
            or
only doing the one character, finish game, start another character and start from beginning again??

cause there is so much "Open World" in this game, i am thinking doing multiple characters would give a taste of their strengths/weaknesses.

            just curious.......
3rd & 14, inside your own 15, up 6, 3:20min left to go = call a PA Pass and Cancel. *its Legit, so no needless complaining

Fuck that console patch. I was about 3 different things away from trophies and I look and it's all empty. Fucker.

Gotta play through at least Act 1 (not Chapter 1) with all four of the characters so I'll be leveling some dudes up as soon as I finish my Purna playthrough.

There's also the issue of "New Game+" games if you want to get that Level 50 trophy as well.

Most of the stuff is easy enough to get if you go out of your way to do them.

The only problems I see are for the Co-Op trophies unless you leave your game open for others to join.

I'd rather not let griefers ruin my "experience" but I might have to boot up a new character to join in on some other games soon.

This game desperately needs use of mics too.

Brown Skull Location (story spoilers within):

The skulls themselves are basically cheats the developers put in to give you crazy ass powers/weapons.

You just need to find them and put them on their corresponding altars to get them.

I found one, the 'Brown Skull', after finishing up a Ch. 3 mission:

After Sinomai sends you out to look at the recent helicopter crash (it's what fell out of the sky after you escape the hotel parking garage with the armored truck), you need to escort the guy you find at the crash site.

Get him to the bunker (it's the old brown stone one that you can't get into until you do the escort mission itself) and he'll give you a Green Dependable Homemade Machete for your trouble.

NOW, BEFORE YOU LEAVE TO GO BACK TO SINOMAI, look for a manhole cover in the room where the escorted guy is in...

Use the cover and kill the Suicider to clear the room (throw something at him and hope the blast doesn't kill you) you teleport into.

From there, search the bodies until you come across the "Brown Skull."

Some random ass just joined into my game and kept wanting to do other shit that I wasn't going to do right now. Found it very annoying.

The more and more I play this game, the more I'm starting to love it. Been doing a ton of side quests, finally got back into doing some main missions. Up to level 9 now and in chapter 3 I think.

I just did this mission. You can put up to 4 things in the bed of your truck. Also, you don't actually give them to him, you put them near the workbench on the ground level by the stack of boxes and shit. Took me a few minutes to figure that one out.

                          Done with Act I.

Heard this City of Moresby was a real killer.

                          Time to find out.

How many chapters is Act 1?

                              Four, I believe.

                              Chapter Five is "Mixed Blessings."

There's two sidequests from Act 1 you'll come back to the Resort for so don't freak out if you feel you can't do everything at once... the game's not built for that.

                                Goddamnit.

The new Patch for consoles fucks up your Personal Statistics like I said...

So that means the game thinks I finished Act 1 as Sam B when I'm working on my Purna save.

Not that I wouldn't but I don't feel like doing all this work again as the same character I've been playing because of a bug.
