I had 31 hits in my 2 games against Rokbone and I think I only hit one HR. He hit a few HRs in the 2nd game when my relievers hung a few meatballs. But those were the type of pitches where you knew they would be crushed when it left the pitchers hand.

So far I'm really liking the HOF settings for both hitting and pitching. I saw good hit variety last night with doubles in gap, balls hit off the wall, screamers down the line, grounders through the hole.... I think once people adjust to pitching on HOF, they'll be a few less HRs as people throw less meatballs.

Yeah I'm seeing that too. Even better variety in the HR's, on vet everything was seemingly clubbed to the strong side of the batter. I've taken a couple high fastballs to the opposite 2nd deck, which I don't think I've ever done in any MLB the Show game before, lol.

Lots of different hits tho and good variation in the speed they come off the bat. Vs Gangsta last night, sometimes Escobar/Jeter would be able to gobble it up and make a play (there was some crazy good defence in our game by these two) and sometimes the ball would be too fast for them.

        I'm very happy so far.

I think we REALLY need to have input on HRs b4 just judging them on stats alone...it seems like the majority of the posts on HRs that I have read is saying the HRs are the results of meatballs down the middle and not well placed PCIs

            thanks...

I'd still like to try it with fielder reaction turn to nil. seeing we are testing why not test that too. maybe bump up human errors a tick as well as when you overthrown the ball it feels like u hardly ever get punished for it.

Really? I've already given away a few runs on overthrows. It's interesting that everyone has such different experiences so far.

the 3 hr's I gave up I'd say all but 1 were well placed and still hit out. The first 2 were place low and on the outside corner while the 3rd one was on me as I tried to sneak a fastball up and in and got burned bad.

the only question I have then is where was the batters PCI...Some guys swing and position the cursor pre-pitch so they might have been guessing locale...if thats the case then you gave a up a fair HR...its when the cursor is in the middle and the ball on the corners and still goes out of the park that we have a problem with,:guns:

I don't know how to fix that but I do see it too.

Last night I painted the corner with a first pitch changeup and Andruw Jones parked it by being early and only having about 1/3 of the ball in his PCI.

                      :dontknow:

well if it was the top corner of the PCI and he wall scraped one u could chalk that up to strength of the batter...but when Luis Castillo hits one out without the ball touching the PCI we have a problem...I had that happen on vet/vet offline :dontknow:

You know what it could be?

Contact slider is 7 or 8, which makes your PCI better doesn't it? I bet our PCI's are bigger than they show.

However, with it lower we weren't getting enough hits and K's were crazy. So if I'm right, we choose one way or the other.

I would lean towards hits always. Gives you the thought that you can make a come back and not lay down in the 5th inning and the games overall fun I guess.

spotting the PCI does not always mean success or failure. obviously your chances of success are greatly improved by being perfect with the PCI...but hitting is not based solely on the pci.

I havent played since the reliever stamina was changed to 1. Seems drastic, especially since it was performing ok at 4/5.

How is this working out? Are guys available back to back days? Three in a row? Ar two, three inning guys toast?
