Still no official release date. The voice actors for 47 and Diana are not returning. It will also run on Glacier 2, and I'm not sure if we will actually see a Hitman 5 or a Splinter-Hitman: Conviction game.

Hitman's a formula that really doesn't need to be changed, but it seems like they are doing that. They are also adding an online option, and while I worry that it will take away from the story (like what I saw in AC: Revelations) I also think that online similar to AC would be a good thing.

Not going to deny that the game looks great graphically though

God, I hope not. While that game was alright, it was the same damn thing as everything else out there. These games were fun as hell back in the day, and they don't need to mess with that.

That video I just watched reminded me a whole lot of Conviction, right down to the way they described some of the gameplay mechanics.

The bundle was espied on 16Games, an Italian retailer, with a release date of October 15th. With the next instalment in the series, Hitman: Absolution, out on November 20th, it gives newcomers and fans alike enough time to get up to speed with the series. Currently, the listing is only for a PlayStation 3 collection.

Hitman: Absolution director: 'Most people won't finish the game'

                                "This makes us sad''

By Tamoor Hussain for CVG UK

Metrics suggest the majority of Hitman: Absolution players won't reach the end of the game, IO Interactive's Tore Blystad has said, and this makes him "sad".
Blystad told Official PlayStation Magazine UK: "We are using metrics a lot more now than we did, for good and for bad.
"The general player will probably never even finish the game, which is very sad. Or they might only play through it once, but the game is built for the people who want to go back through every single level and get all the stuff out of it. It's built to last, rather than be a one-off experience."

Blystad attributes this to an unwillingness to committ and said it's an issue that is common for most games.
"I guess people can't commit to taking all those hours to finish one product, they get tired of it. It's not just for this game, it's for any game," he said.
"Knowing that 20% of the players will see the last level of the game. It's horrible to know. It makes the people working on it really really sad."

According to the game director the more interesting content could be shifted to earlier parts of the game, however this isn't possible in Absolution due to its strict narrative framework.
"It's very difficult when something is constructed to fit into a larger story to move things too much around. I think in some of the previous Hitman games that that might have been the case - that some levels were moved earlier, because they were more catchy or interesting. For us it hasn't really been that easy, because the story is really tying all the levels together, so they're still coming in the same order, more or less, that they were designed."

Fortunately, the team is stirivng to maintain a high level of quality to encourage players to keep assassinating their way to the end.
"In the user tests we have they actually tell us that the replayability factor in itself, it's the situation or the humour that's the reason people actually go back through the levels, they want to see more, they want to find these things, which makes us very happy, because it takes a lot of time and effort to get these things in."

Retailer listings appear to have prematurely revealed a HD compilation for the Hitman series coming to PS3.
