Hitman: Absolution

This game is a blast. There's just so many ways to go about a contract, it's just fun walking around the area trying to figure out how you want to go about the job. I could see this game causing some people to rage if they didn't have any patience or like developing a strategy, but I love this shit.

Got 25,515 on The King of Chinatown contract. I had about -9,000 or so on non target and civilian casualties, but it was all done in the planning of my escape. Killed one guy to be able to grab a weapon I wanted, then I killed a cop and a drug dealer to have two extra disguises available for my escape. I wont tell how I executed the contract, b/c half the fun is figuring out how you want to do it. This game is so much fun though. Having to plan every step of your kill and having to plan ahead for what might happen and how you're going to escape. If you're someone who likes a game that takes thinking and strategy, then this one is a no brainer.

I'm enjoying it so far, but I'm pretty Hitman-biased. I randomly played through Silent Assassin again just last month.

Interested to see what your guys' scores are on the shooting range when you get to the gun shop in South Dakota. Took me a few tries but I finally won the contest with a score of 524.

I was somewhat disappointed with this. To me it felt like it was more of a Splinter Cell game than a straight up Hitman game. Granted, I only played through a few missions before I returned it to Redbox but many parts of the game just felt tedious. That's partially my fault, since the little score tracker in the left hand corner caused me to restart checkpoints frequently when I fucked up when otherwise I would have kept going.

I think I'll pick this up when it's like 15 or 20 bucks, because it was still fun; it just wasn't what I was expecting.

Picked this up yesterday, pretty fun so far and I'm just starting. One of my battle buddies has been raging, mostly at the strategy aspect but like Swarley said, I'm loving it. Going to beat this first before I move onto Assassins Creed.

I've been reading on some other boards that the enemy AI, specifically the cops, is fucking broken. As in they can see through your disguises and just see you in general when it would be impossible, even on the lower difficulties. That would make the game unplayable for me.

I haven't run into anything broken. If you don't use your 'instincts,' then they might see through your disguise.
