    Wildcard's Madden Rankings (1-10)

Well now that I have used every team in Madden a few times, I am going to rank what I think are the best team in the game, to the worst team in the game.

    1) Dallas Cowboys - Now with the edition of Roy Williams, they are absolutely unstoppable in Madden terms. Throughout the season with the addition of Adam Jones, and Roy Williams, and the upgrades of Jay Ratliff, and Felix Jones, this team is reminiscent of the Rams in the Madden game of the late 90's early 2000's, with a better defense, and Offensive Line.

    2) New England Patriots - With Tom Brady they are the 2nd best team in Madden. Randy Moss is always a threat on the Screen, and Deep Auto Lobs, and when you try, and sweat him you have to worry about Ben Watson, (An absolute beast in Madden) and Wes Welker. They also have a great offensive line, and a slow but very aware, and effective defense.(Especially when used right with the over effective 1-5-5.)

    3) San Diego Chargers - Phillip Rivers, LaDanian Tomlinson, Shawne Merriman, Antonio Gates, Antonio (Overrated) Cromartie. I mean, I just named some beasts, and that's why they are number 3 on my list. When you are worrying about LT, and Gates, they can always hit you with Chris Chambers, and the big tall Vincent Jackson. On Defense they have one of the best front 7's in the game, and even though they lack at safety, I think the athleticism, and skill of their CornerBacks may make up for it.

    4) Philadelphia Eagles - Philly makes my top 5 due to the fact that they are just about perfect in this game. Donovan is a great mobile QB with a Cannon Arm, and he has the weapons to throw it to. They have a declining L.J. Smith, however they don't need him. With DeSean Jackson (98 Speed) Kevin Curtis (96 Speed), and Brian Westbrook (97 Speed), that is basically way to much speed to match up with on Defense. They have a top 5 Offensive Line in the game, and ever find time to throw it to Reggie Brown?? The guy is a monster after he catches the ball. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the freakish defense. Trent Cole is virtually unstoppable, and Brian Dawkins, Lito Sheppard, Sheldon Brown, and Asante Samuel basically make it impossible to throw the ball. Good Luck playing against this team, and you won't need it if you are this team.

    5) Indianapolis Colts - Some people may disagree with me on this one however, Peyton Manning. That's it really. Just Peyton Manning. No seriously though, you surround him with some talent, and I'm sure you'll have a good team. What's that you say? He has talent around him?? Oh yeah! I almost forgot about Marvin Harrison, Dallas Clark, Joseph Addai, and Reggie #1 Wayne. Now tell me how the hell you can actually stop that? The only thing that really lowers this team on some lists is that defense of theirs. They have above average Cornerbacks, however they have the 2nd best Safety Core in the game. Bob Sanders (98), and Antoine Bethea (91). The corners get a lot of help from the safeties, and especially from there deadly pass rush that includes Dwight Freeney who is a freakish athlete, and Robert Mathis who is the same overall as Freeney. Not to mention they have a 91, and 87 at the LineBacker positions.

    6) Pittsburgh Steelers - Ben Roethlisberger leads this team to a #6 ranking. With no more Mendenhall the Steelers will not even take a hit. Hell they have Willie Parker. With one of the best WR cores in Madden, and a hell of a QB to throw it to them, people have to spend so much time worrying about the pass, that it makes Fast Willie even better. Speaking of the WR's Hines Ward is your perfect Possesion Receiver, Santonio Holmes is a beast of a Deep threat with a 96 Speed, and Limas "Makin my debut" Sweed stands as one of the tallest WR's in the game, and has some great speed to help out his height. Not to mention they have a great Tight End in Heath Miller. Now when it comes to the defensive side of the ball, they have one of the best front 7's in the game. Hampton(96) Smith(94) Farrior(92) Foote(86) Harrison(93) that is a force to be reckoned with. Pitt also gives you to great CB's in Taylor, and Townsend(both 89). Then you have yourself one of the best Safeties in the game in Troy Polamalu (98).

    7) New York Giants - Well the New York Giants have Eli Manning. Now that might not sound like much in real life, but in Madden this guy has a 94THP, and a 94THA. Basically, he is a top 5 QB in this game. Anyways, with Eli, they have Brandon Jacobs who now shares a 99 trucking rating with Marion Barber, and to be completely honest Brandon should have 100 truck. Jacobs has some support with the speedy Ahmad Bradshaw, and the shifty Derrick Ward. You can use this great rushing attack running behind the best Offensive Line in the game. Eli also has some targets in Plaxico Burress(96), and Amani Toomer(86). Maybe you might not like the slowness of Toomer so that's where you throw in Manningham. He is one of the better Rookie WR's in Madden. The defense highlights Osi Umenyiora(97), Justin Tuck(94), and Antonio Pierce(95). The secondary is nothing special, but they do have a great Madden Safety in 1st round pick Kenny Phillips.

    8) Jacksonville Jaguars - Jacksonville makes this list at #8 mainly because of the emergence of David Garrard. For the first time since 1999 Jacksonville has a QB over a 90 Overall. Hey guess what? They also have some decent WR's to throw the ball to in Reggie Williams, and Jerry Porter. Let's not talk about the passing attack to much though. This team has a top 5 Offensive Line, and the best backfield in Madden. Fred Taylor(94) Maurice Jones-Drew(91), and Greg Jones(86) (who is the best FullBack in Madden since the hey days of Mike Alstott.)which has 2 weapons. Jacksonville's strength however might be their Defense after all. With the man beast John Henderson, and rookie DE Derrick Harvey(81) they have a above average Defensive Line. Mike Peterson(94), and Daryl Smith(92) highlight one of the better LineBacker crews in the NFL. Reshean Mathis is one of the best CornerBacks in the game, and Reggie Nelson, and Brian Williams make a great secondary.

    9) Green Bay Packers - Green Bay. Well we all thought they were doomed without Favre. Well, most of us did. However with the way Aaron Rodgers is playing (better than Eli Manning) we all can see that them being doomed obviously isn't the case. Aaron has what you need in Madden to be a good QB, but he lack Awareness making his overall a bit lower. Ryan Grant is a great power back, but he really has no help. Green Bay has a great set of Wide Receivers in Greg Jennings(94), and Donald Driver(92). Their Offense sounds great doesn't it? Well it's not the strength of the Packers in Madden. Their Defense is even better. With the best front 7 in Madden, GB offers us KGB(88) Cullen Jenkins(92) Aaron Kampan(97) Ryan Pickett(86) Nick Barnett(94), and AJ Hawk(94). Add to that front 7 CornerBacks in Woodson(92) and Harris(93) also Bigby(87). I'm pretty sure you just would want to punt on 1st Down.

    10) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Much better with Jeff Garcia, Tampa barely cracks my top 10. Gone are the days of Alstott, and Dunn. Now are the days of a slower, yet still effective Dunn, and Graham. When used properly this can be a great backfield. They are a good "Thunder and Lightning" combination. Tampa has an over abundance of mediocre Wide Receivers. Joey Galloway is still the deep threat he has always been, and Antonio Bryant will definitely over achieve for his overall. A good Offensive Line, and the Mobility of Garcia, and Josh Johnson always make this team a threat on offense. However Much like the Packers their Defense is the strength of this team. Gaines Adams in his 2nd year (88) highlights the defensive line. Their LineBacker crew is a force to be reckoned with however with Derrick Brooks(93) Barret Ruud(89), and Cato June(91). They can help the Defensive line out, and cause a lot of pressure, and they still have enough speed, and awareness to cover the Tight Ends, and slower WR's. Tanard Jackson, and Jermaine Phillips make a hard hitting combo at the safety positions, and Ronde Barber, however older, and a bit slower is still a smart CB, and great in zone coverage. While Phillip Buchanon can always threaten you with the Defensive Touchdown after Interceptions with his 96 Speed.

Alright guys, that was the top 10 rankings. Ranks 11-20 will be out tomorrow. Enjoy or flame on. Please discuss.
