Wii 2 to be revealed at E3; Significantly more powerful than 360/PS3

So much Nintendo hate just for the Wii, while we all consider the N64 our favorite consoles of our generation. Well my generation.

How are they going to make these controllers at a decent price point? It will be impossible. I'm not shelling out 350$ every time I need a new controller. If they switch to touchscreen for controlling games, I'm going to hate it. I try to play games on my iPhone but it's extremely hard not to play with a joystick or raised d-pad.

We all adapt though, we'll see.

The N64 is the greatest console of this generation? Really? I think the ps2 would like to have a word with you.

As for this this alleged controller. They already charge $60 for a wiimote and nunchuk. I can't wait to see how much that thing will cost.

I also find it funny that all of a sudden Nintendo is going to focus on the hardcore market after they have been making money hand oved fist catering to the casual market the past several years. And just look at and "hardcore" game that releases for the Wii. It tanks in sales miserably, no matter how good it is.

Remember all of the hype that surrounded the Wii when it still had a cool name?
It was rumored to be this powerful system and it turns out to be a 480p displaying, Texas Instruments calculator powered, lame ass game playing , over hyped reviewed paper weight.

Maybe its a good idea that they set their focus on the older, more hardcore, you know, people who actually have money to buy the games instead of tons of kid games.

I know they have good sales/marketing and they pump out the product but that doesn't help me because I think it sucks.

Even if it's significantly more powerful, I won't spend the money on one. What's going to piss me off is if this makes Sony and Microsoft feel like they have to push their next-gen of consoles out quicker than normal.

They already think that, esp. Sony. They saw how they lost this round because of the year lead the 360 had on them. Same goes for the PS2 had on the Xbox...and both that came out first were less powerful.

Agree completely. The whole motion gaming craze doesn't interest me, and my personal view is that it is either going to be a fad, or a niche type of thing in about five years.

I also agree with the feeling that the next gens are not released earlier. We saw the disaster with the 360 and RROD. Even though recent games (Crysis 2 did it for me) have probably pushed the graphic limits, Microsoft and Sony should look at the past and not rush their consoles.

srs wii is a fun system. mario party, mario kart, mario galaxy, plus just dance now. it not the hardcore gamers deal but that could easily be fixed with a stronger system and revamped online system.

if anything the graphics didnt do it but the online system really killed the wii. i eman friend codes wtf?!?!?1 imagaine mario kart with easy online connections.

Agreed. The graphics on the games were not great but the games were really fun. The online system for the Wii just sucked, no other way to put it.
