[ALL] Wireless Gaming Headsets?

Hey Guys,

So with the recent release of SOCOM 4 I'm looking to invest in a nice headset. Personally, I haaaaate Blu-Tooth headsets with a passion mostly cause it's so hard to hear people sometimes. I'd rather have the double ear headsets and was wondering what the best ones were? I know there's a shitload of them out there, and although wireless isn't required, it sure would be nice (c'mon, who doesn't love life without wires these days). So I'm just curious as to what headsets you guys are rolling with and which ones have given you the best gaming experience. Thanks in advance!

I roll with the typical wired 360 mic that comes with each Xbox. I know that doesn't help you, but I've got a lot of friends who roll with Turtle Beach. I believe they are anywhere from $60-$200 depending on the quality.

Shoot, I won't pay much more than a game for a headset, so the low end one is what I would get, but you can't go wrong with Turtle Beach.

are you on 360 or PS3?? i have a pair of the TB X11's that i will give you, but they only work on the 360... they are a solid piece, but i had to upgrade to a set that would work on both my 360 and PS3...

im not a hardcore gamer, so i dont know what games are exclusive to which system... based on that, i would assume he is a PS3 guy... sorry, i was just trying to be a nice guy and give away a headset...

Turtle Beaches are serviceable headsets. Not top of the line, even in just turtle beaches brand, with that model. But if it's the best deal you can do, go for it. I'm guessing the P11 is the Playstation equivalent to the X11 for the 360.

Krul, get the official sony headset. Does soccom come with it? Ive had it for a few years and for the most part the battery charges and lasts well. It is small and comfortable and the quality is pretty crystal clear. I play my buddy in fifa and other games all the time and for the most part no complaints.

Once you go wireless, you get in the pretty expensive range. I guess if you can afford it, go for it. I just can't see myself spending more than $100 on an accessory. Also, since Ive had bad luck with previous headsets, I got the 2 year Bestbuy protection plan for an extra 7 bucks. This kind of technology, anything can go wrong with them.

yeah that is quite outrageous......but OXM gave it a great score and said it is the best gaming headset money can buy right now.....well till tomorrow probably.

The people who buy those are pure suckers, or think they are some elite gamer and it is the difference between winning and getting pwned. But headphones do not make you much of a better gamer. I've played from earbuds to standard future shop $30, to a $60 pair, and I honestly was the same throughout.

Well, I just ordered that pair I showed earlier. Decided to do one-day shipping too for $3.99. Figured why not, instead of waiting til Tuesday to get it. Only paid $24.99 total.
