95 Slap Accuracy with 85 Power.
But I'm 5"11 and 170lbs so I fucking fly around the ice. Checking is a waste of time....especially that hip checkComment

I don't go for hits anymore unless it's shooting fish in a barrel. Just follow the passing lanes back to the slot holding left trigger and let the cpu do the work. Another option is to poke violently. (that's what she said)Comment

It has more to do with the type of playing you are then what "type" of player your video game guy is. You can be an O-Dman and it means shit if you are not offensive minded.
And should just point out, KG's IMGOINGINONTHEPK is basically short for RAVINGOESINTHECORNERONTHEPKKILLINGITOFFANDFINDSKGI NTHESLOTWITHASICKPASSFORANEASYGOAL. But who really wants to type all that out.All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

Also I am going to throw this out and say, are you taking proper shots? Because most defence in OTP just turn and fire as soon as they get it because well, "OMGZ the puck is on my stick in the offence zone!!!!" And if you are just firing into a crowd, and have no accuracy or power to put it top cheddar, you basically are wasting your time shooting. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

And like I said it's OTP, so I spend more time being ready to haul my ass out of the zone to cover for what's likely to be an idiot defensive partner than I spend on actually playing offensively.Comment

I don't shoot to score. I'm not really complaining about the lack of goals anyway. I don't expect to score many. I shoot more wristers and other various low shots than anything else anyway trying to give people deflection opportunities.

From what you are saying, you seem more like a D-Dman then an O-Dman. I know it is just OTP, but that is just what I am getting. All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

In OTP, shoot to score. You honestly shouldn't be putting points into a wrist shot because you really shouldn't be using it. KG and Wr50l never wrist shot for us, and if they did, I'd be like "WTF you doing." You want the big shot, because it is that shot that makes things happen. Either you get a goal to slip by, or you get a tip in. If you want deflections, shoot it low or mid level and the wingers will do the wrist.

I disagree though with the wrist shot not having use. I think accuracy is the biggest waste of points for either shot. Power and strength and a low stick curve are all you need to produce good shots for deflections/rebounds. It's important to have both a strong wrister and a strong slap shot as you should be utilizing both depending on the situation. IMOComment

Ravin's got no idea that if you have 99 slap shot power your shot will be unblockable, unsaveable and in off the bar if you are anywhere near the middle of the ice. Just do what I just did and tell him to
shut up fannybaws yer talkin nonsenseComment
