      ea already had plans of a subscription service leak. No doubt they'll be watching what happens here, taking notes and seeing what people will/won't pay for. When they eventually roll one out people will defend it claiming its ok because activision did it and thats how games are now.

        I may still get the game, but play online without the Elite thing. However when I play Battlefield 2 (which will be soon) if I like it a lot I will just buy that brand new and get MW3 later on used.

          Good article on Elite, and it clears up a question someone had earlier about map packs. It will still be a fee for map packs if you are not paying for the full Elite experience, but you get them at no charge if you are paying the fee.

          EDIT: The weapon/map/kilstreak tips and hints are the last thing I want to see though. The little 12 year old campers don't need that much help.
