Microsoft has announced a limited edition Halo 4 console bundle. Available for pre-order now, the bundle includes a copy of the standard edition of Halo 4 and a 320GB system. The system itself has an exclusive Halo design in addition to custom sounds when it’s turned on or when a disc is ejected.

The bundle also includes two custom Halo 4 wireless controllers with Halo designs and blue LED lights as well as a black Xbox 360 headset. Players will also receive exclusive Halo 4 downloadable content including a unique armor skin, a unique weapon skin, a unique emblem, matching avatar armor and a unique avatar prop.

The bundle is available for pre-order on Microsoft’s online store for $399.99. [Update: Looks like the product listing has been removed for now.] Halo 4 will hit stores on November 6th.

Halo 4 Achievement List Revealed

Halo 4's achievement list has been revealed by developer 343 Industries, offering some slim insight into what tasks we'll undertake in the game.

Beware of spoilers below. There's nothing too soul-shatteringly revelatory, but don't say you haven't been warned.

The achievements on offer were revealed in an update on Halo Waypoint by community manager Jessica Shea, who also explained some of the reasoning that went into the achievements' design.

"Developing and designing these game-specific challenges might seem simple but is quite a bit more complex once you begin digging into the psychology of a gamer," she shared.

"Our primary goal when creating Halo 4’s achievements was to reward milestones and increase replay value while balancing both difficulty and the breadth of game modes.

"Our secondary goal was to live up to Halo tradition with weird ass names for some of them (hello, The Dongblainer!). While you will only be able to speculate on the exact nature of some of these achievements, here’s a peek at their very basic in-game descriptions."

So, without further ado, the achievements you'll be testing your Spartan training to breaking point to achieve are:

• Dawn - Complete Mission 1 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Requiem - Complete Mission 2 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Forerunner - Complete Mission 3 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Infinity - Complete Mission 4 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Reclaimer - Complete Mission 5 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Shutdown - Complete Mission 6 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Composer - Complete Mission 7 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Midnight - Complete Mission 8 on any difficulty - (10 Points)
• Wake up John - Complete the Campaign on Normal or harder - (20 Points)

This game is only a few months away and I honestly couldn't care less. I have no interest at this point. I don't know why? I started losing interest in this series when Reach released. I bought it day one and still haven't finished the campaign to this day. This comig from a guy that has the Master Chief replica helmet from the Halo 3 CE in his basement.

I agree. I have the same. Halo 3 was a huge letdown.Reach was much better. I'm just sick of the floaty game mechanics and awful bunny hopping MP. Go into any Halo multiplayer and all you see is a bunch of guys jumping up and down across a map.
The single player reveal for part 4 looks exactly like the reveal for part 3.. random jungle fight showing off pointless space weapons against similar looking enemies.
Halos machine guns have always been weak and the sound FX for them equally weak. Compared to gow or cod Halo weapons all seem like nerf toys. M.C is such a badass and Halo MP features and options are best in the business. It just doesn't come together the way I'd hope.

The return of the battle rifle to multiplayer is very promising, but without the 1-50 ranking system that Halo 2 had I don't see it returning to the glory of Halo 2.

Halo 3 had 1-50 but it didn't follow the same ELO ranking formula. Apparently the devs have said they will not put in ELO because of the cheaters, but who cares imo. Let them get their 50 and let us normal people hang out in the 30-40 range. (Or in Twigg's case the 20-25 range ;))

I just want to play Halo because it's always been my best shooting game haha. I remember I was playing a MP game of Reach on defense in CTF when a guy was rocket packing into our base and I shot him mid-air in the head with a sniper rifle.....good times.

Hard to do that across the different game modes. I actually think Reach did the best as far as MP rankings go.

My favorite mode by far is Living Dead. I could play it for hours and not get bored. That is the best thing about Halo, they put some community developed maps and game modes into play. Some, like Grifball and Living Dead, have stuck and become popular lists. I hope that having some of the original guys back on it and focused on Halo exclusively will be a breath of fresh air to the franchise. One can hope, right?

Haven't had an issue with mine. Don't even think mine have gone off-center yet.
