Probably, 1 rep at the m$ store said the 1600 m$ points and the $25 credit stack with the pre order, but another rep said it doesnt...I got a ref. # from the guy that said it does stack So I'll prolly just order it today
NOT a Halo guy at all, Wanna run through this game hard n fast...Swarles do u even game any more?
I just checked the Microsoft store (website) and the deal right now for Halo 4 appears to be -> 1600 MS points plus a $10 coupon for preordering any of the listed games (Halo 4 is one). In addition, for ordering Halo 4, you get $25 off of your next purchase on the Microsoft website. I think you can get both as the $25 off next purchase is applicable to Halo 4 only (it states the "game only" special under each of the games - they are different for each game. Not sure if that's what you meant by "stacking" - I would check anyway, seems like you are getting the game practically for free.
I'm not surprised they are having a difficult time pushing Halo 4. No doubt it will be a great game and the graphics will be great and they story will probably be good - the problem is that it is MORE OF THE SAME. I read the Promethians (the new enemy) breakdown in Game Informer and the weapons / enemy types are pretty consistent with the enemies in Reach and prior Halo games. I think shooters have evolved to the point (i.e. Borderlands) where you want great co-op and asymmetrical combat. It was OK for Halo 1 & 2 to equip both sides with essentially the same weapons (pistol, grenadae, rifle, transport, etc) with a few minor exceptions that were reskinned for Marine or Covenant. I hope this is a good game but the days of dumb AI and the "samey" weapons for both sides is dead, in my view.I really want this to be a good game with unique features, but after reading game informer, you might as well pick up Reach - it'll be the same game, essentially, and cheaper.Comment

I forgot about the Spartan Ops - that sounds cool to a point.Comment

To your post, I really think they need to hit it with the Spartan Ops for sales. Halo is already maxed out on it's current audience- Halo fans, fans of four-player co-op and FPS fans who will buy the game, and sell it to Gamestop two months later. They've got to evolve some, and I think Spartan Ops could be that.
Still, it is Halo, and I think the desperation of trying to sell it is because people know this isn't a Bungie game anymore, and the apprehension is going to occur there.Comment

Considering I still have yet to finish Reach, I think that speaks volumes.Comment

So, what;s the deal with this on the MS store again? I know it's under the section of games where you get a $10 credit and 1600 MS points but after clicking on that offer it clearly says "$25 credit with purchase" under Halo 4. Either way I guess it's a better deal than Newegg if I do decide to keep my pre-order.Comment
