Who else is getting one? I'm reserving one at Gamestop the first chance I have. I already have $50 for inFamous 2 that I picked up at a different store so I'll just transfer that money to the Vita.

I was already excited for this thing and was very willing to drop $350 on it. The $250 price (for the wi-fi only version) seems like a steal to me.

I'm actually listening to the latest podcast we did and BrntO actually speculated that the wi-fi version might debut at $250 and I thought he was nuts. It turns out he was spot on and I'm glad he was.

I'm also shocked to see that the Uncharted game will be a launch title. I would've guessed that would've been several months to a year after release.

So who else is scooping up one of these beasts?

• Also how will I buy games?
• Via internet only?
• How much will they be?
• How many launch games are there?
• How long will the battery last?
• Is there a hard drive??
• If so how big?
• Do I need to buy a memory SD? How much is that?
• When I buy Uncharted from GS will I only get a code on a receipt?

I heard they are doing physical media using memory drives. So think of memory sticks with games on them. That on top of the digital downloads will keep everyone happy.

not interested. i don't see myself buying this. i dont know where i would play it. i dont commute. when i go on vacation, its beach area or touristy shit. i have my sons psp, i haven't even turned it on so i can get the free games.

the release date was 12/31 but the guy said its going to come out sooner for the holiday rush. Ima ctually thinking of getign 2 to make some money off it.

The 12/31 date is just an estimate. It will be a holiday release in Japan, but it's not certain if it will be here or not.

Once a release date is set, I'll definitely be going and reserving one of these babies and Uncharted: Golden Abyss. That game looked incredible for being on a handheld. FINALLY, a portable system with good graphics and dual sticks.

Im in the same boat. Im sure my kid will ask for one for Xmas, but I have no real interest in a portable system at this point. Id much rather use my Ipad.

see i bought my kid a dsi xl last christmas. the lil sneak went and traded it in for a 3ds. no more handhelds for him.

right now i am looking for another laptop. 17in, tri or quad core. 6gbs of ram. 9 cell battery.

It looks like the support for this thing will be top notch. As long as they keep m asking quality games like Uncharted, Bioshock, ModNation, etc., I'll be happy. Not to mention trophies and being able to play games Vita vs PS3? :jizz:

If they can put multi core processors into a phone, I would expect this thing to be pretty freaking powerful

Sony Playstation Vita has a specification 6-axis motion sensors, dual analog controller, front and rear camera, OLED touch screen type, and the touchpad on the back. Vita has a 4-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU and a 200 MHz SGX543MP4+ GPU. In Sony’s keynote at E3 event yesterday, Sony showcased some top games like: Golden Abyss, Ruin, LittleBigPlanet, and Street Fighter x Tekken. The gamer also announced titles from SCE Worldwide Studios, including Street Fighter X Tekken, Super Stardust Delta,UNCHARTED: Golden Abyss, LittleBigPlanet, and Ruin exclusively Vita as well as Little Deviants, Hot Shots Golf, Reality Fighter, Hustle Kings, ModNation Racers and Wipeout.



I will add that Sony made a huge mistake with AT&T though. Their 3G coverage in Michigan is very poor....
