what is the point of hacking? I understand you can hack to gather companys/peoples information for your own personal use, but it seems some people just do it for fun. Do they just hack for fun to see what systems they can hack?

That is exactly why people hack. Just to see if they can do it. For personal knowledge. I know a few guys who really just wanna test their skills out. They hardly ever do anything to harm anyone. I'm glad we have a little cyberwar going on
