[ALL] Any reason to buy new games/systems from Gamestop anymore?

The guy at gamestop asked me if I wanted to preorder anything the other day and I told him there is no incentive to preorder from here anymore. He was kind of speechless.....lol.

Gamestop is great for B2G1F used games. Other than that there is no reason to shop there.

Kmart and Bestbuy give you gift cards, price match and reward zone points. These points actually convert into money unlike the GS Power Up program, which I might say is the worst program ever.

So why do you buy there? I saw Twigg preordered his PSP2 from GS....I ask why?

It's convenient for me. There is a Gamestop in my town that is a 3 minute drive away, unlike Best Buy or Target which are 15+ minute drives. Plus I've had a ridiculous amount of EDGE card balance the past two years but I finally used it all up two weeks ago when I purchased Tiger '12. I can't remember the last time I actually used cash to pay for something there.

I preordered NCAA 12 from there, but that was due to it only costing me $7 due to store credit. However I rarely shop there as it is usually a 45 minute drive there and 45 minute drive back. Only store close to me to buy things from entertainment wise is Wal-Mart. Places like K-Mart & Best Buy would be the same drive length as Gamestop.

I just hate going into a Gamestop and listening to a fucking 20 minute conversation betweek the clerk and the ONE other customer in the store.

It's always some dipshit loser asking questions about games, then the Gamestop guy will clearly not really know what he's talking about but somehow rabble rabbles for like 10 minutes, then goes into a list of various deals the guy should get and wraps it up with a 5 minute conversation about trying to offload some free shit to the guy...but it's shit, so nobody ever wants it.

Convenience for me as well. GS is about two minutes from my front porch while K-Mart is probably 15 and BestBuy 20.

I don't go there much anymore, only for midnight releases. Thats the only advantage to Gamestop over other places, especially since my store has a good relationship with one near us and me and my boss can get games a day before they come out.

What part of VA do you live in? I'm in Southest VA and it seems every shopping center has a GS. I'd say we have too many.

Pre-order bonuses. Plus, it's around the block from me.

On AC:Revelations, the bonus shoots you up to the better version of the game. I'm guessing it's at least a $10 savings, probably $20. On LA Noire, you got two free cases and a few other things. On AC:Brotherhood, you got access to the multiplayer beta.

I'm mad I missed the B2G1 this weekend - totally forgot about it. Want to catch up on a few games.

but family video/gamefly/gohastings have much better deals on used games
amazon/craigslist are better for selling ur games
and Kmart gives away free m$ points with almost every new release
