They have alot of sports content? I don't know, I don't play games other than sports pretty much. I;ve tried in the past, I'll get some big releases but they just sit there and I don't play them. A site that is focused on sport games would have more information on sports games wouldn't you say. So if someone is gonna want info or post about PowerPros, would they go to gamefaqs, or a sports video game website?Comment

Isn't gamefaqs a site that has game walk throughs faqs and step by step instrucions on how to beat games, tricks and cheat codes and stuff like that?

But trust me, if the board for a certain game is dead it usually means the game is selling or has sold like shit. Just because OS and we love the game doesn't mean jack squat. Gamefaqs is world wide is linked with the Gamespot forums.Comment

I decided just to jump right into a season with the O's on default settings. In my first game vs the Rays at first I thought the game was too easy. I jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead. But after 3 innings TB tied it up. Then in the fourth they went ahead. I tied it up in the sixth. Guthrie pitched a strong eight innings and in the top of the ninth I went on a tear and scored three runs. Gregg came in for the save in the ninth.
I <3 this game.Comment

I'm having all very realistic games. The right number of HRs, and hits. I gotta try to layoff that power swing but I cant help it. Except now I'm finding maybe my pitching is getting better because the cpu runs are going down a bit, so I might bump up the CPU hitting difficulty. Gonna play a few more games first.
If your hitting starts getting too good, instead of bumping up a difficulty try turining the pitching cursor off for the CPU when you are hitting (If you haven't already done so).Comment

Just finished my second game and lost 8-6. My starter, Matusz, got rocked and I could never dig out of the hole. I was down 8-2 in the ninth and scored 4 runs, three off a Adam Jones HR, to make it respectable.
What's the deal with the User Profile? When I started my season it defaulted to No Profile and it didn't look like I could pick one of the empty slots. Now every time I load my season all the user profile slots are grayed out and I'm forced to stick with No Profile.Comment

I learned a few things the hard way. I kept wondering why so many of my pitchers didn't seem to have a fastball in their repertoire. It wasn't until the third game I realized that it was just hitting the A button.
Also, I strongly suggest not fucking around in the field. I decided to dive for a foul ball behind home plate that I had no chance of catching. Wieters dove into the wall and is now injured. Doh!Comment

Injuries don't last too long in the game as far as games. Just dive when you need too, limit the chances of injury if you can.
Also on the pitches your pitcher has,,,ya they don't list the fastball it's just a given,,,but on the directional diagram up top, when you select a pitch, a number pops up in the middle of that diagram. So for instance if 5 pops up in the middle for changeup, that's probably his best pitch. If 1 pops up not soo good. So gage your pitchers pitches from there.
I also like how you can make infield and outfield adjustments with just a couple clicks, makes it fast and easy.Comment

Just finished a barn burner to end a three game set with TB. I beat them 12-11 in 11 innings.
Luke Scott has been on a tear with HR's in all three of my games.
Another thing I'm confused about. Before starting my season I left the settings at default, meaning everything is at Pro level. Yet when I check Controller Settings it says that the CPU running skill, pitching skill and fielding skill are at Amateur?Comment

Edit: I think I figured out my User Profile dilemma. You have to set one up at the main menu.Comment

Interesting. I would've thought it was the other way around? Usually the numbers indicate how well they throw certain pitches in their repertoire, ie a 1 would be their 1st best pitch and a 5 would indicate their 5th best pitch.

Also you can get into settings in the pause screen of any game. Select controller setup, then check yours, go to the CPUS controller and set their difficulty or settings. So you can change on the fly if you need to. The game will save it afterwards, and apply it to every team to the season so you dont have to do it to every team. Gives you some flexibility as your skill level changes through the game.Comment

But why does it show Amateur in the controller settings when I have the season set to Pro? I can't imagine the CPU is actually on Amateur for anything. They have been hitting the ball like mad and consistently make diving stops and double plays.
And this game has rain?!? I just used Fast Game to simulate and saw it was raining. Crazy.Comment
