This seems like it'd be a fun game to try a no-kill playthrough.

Finished it with the "Bad" ending, then watched the "Good" ending on youtube. All I'm going to say is that I'm glad I only rented this game.

I was wondering about that because all of the Red Box's around here only seem to have RE6.

Because no one wants to play that game.

But it's way more popular than Dishonored.

I don't think there's any question that Dishonored is the much better game but the RE name still sells...and rents. Ha.

got finished with the 1st assassination mission. it took me a long time. i played slow and check all over for loot and different paths to complete the mission.

i think the game plays very well. very smooth and the controls are great. its fun playing stealth or trying to not be detected at all. i like to kill people though so i did alot of killing too.
The game looks good, but not anything to impressive by any means.
There are alot of things to search for during a mission and the ways you go about completing an objective are what make the game alot of fun

i dont like how when the enemies do find u they just bum rush you from all angles. you can get whacked a few times real fast and all of a sudden its over.
the objectives have some issues too. nothing major but worth mentioning. first, they dont really give you a good idea of what the point of the objective is. They give a general statement, but dont give any follow up text as to why or what the reason is for this. When a game is story driven you would like know what is going on and why you are doing something.

Another thing that bugs me is the objective indicator. there seem to always be 3 or more on the screen at different times. they can each be shut off, but then u dont know where to go. i just with the indicators were more easy to look at and didnt feel like it took over the screen. Runes and bones also give u indicators. you need these, but it would be nice if they didnt just give you a marker saying how far away these things are...some searching would have been cool.

another real annoyance to me is not having a map. you have no idea where you are or have been. These boards are no to big so you dont get lost, but still, no map is just stupid imo.

overall i think its a very good game. i would say $40 is a fair price....especially if you like stealth games.

put in some more time. im still just a short way into the 2nd mission. its a nice change of pace from borderlands and f1 games. its a slower pace but i been moving real fast killing people.

im trying to be stealth and not kill people, but thats not easy. you run out of sleep darts and sneaking up on bad guys isnt always easy cause there is usually multiple bad guys. Plus the major negetive to killing is how it changes the way things play. fucking rat swarms and more guards on high alert. plus now i have assassins up my ass.

but the powers i am using are nice. teleporting around without being seen...basically you can teleport right behind a bad guy, knock him out then teleport right back out without being seen. i also enjoy shape shifting to get around

got some cool weapons, but i dont really find myself using anything besides the crossbow right now

'Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials' DLC this December

Dishonored will get its first piece of downloadable content, "Dunwall City Trials," this December. Dunwall City Trials adds "10 challenge maps" that will have players battle waves of enemies, participate in time challenges and "a gravity-defying run of drop assassinations."

Bethesda also announced Dishonored will add a second and third DLC pack in 2013, each offering a story-driven campaign. Daud, the supernatural assassin, is the focus of the second pack, which is scheduled for "spring 2013."

Dunwall City Trials will be available for $5 (400 MSP) sometime in December. The other two packs will reveal their prices closer to launch.

Agreed. I'm still not sure how it was getting 9's in the review scores. The gameplay and the idea is pretty good, but the complete lack or story or characters just makes this game completely boring.
