Never planned on getting Madden this year anyway. Game just isn't very good this gen.

Some pretty big updates to that feature. I really didn't like his financial system last year but if he's able to use the real data that makes things more interesting.

So if TGT comes back, I suppose I'll give the Titans to someone else.

This has everything to do with the cash cow that is MUT.

not sure if TimsGiants did it on my behalf or his own, but he posted the Q's on OS. Hopefully they let us know if DPP, rosters and IR will apply.

Also, the rumoured online additions this year seem to be something called "communities" which seems to tie into how you play. So I expect some "sim" and "freestyle" type communities online and apparently OTP is playing a big role in the online game this year, which could make things more fun for my 3v3 league.

yeah those aspects you mentioned didnt cross my mind until I read them hear. I was steaming on usual ea bs and especially not compensating LM for doing EAs job. Now Im even more sick with non annoucment. I enjoyed M11 but there is now way Im playing same shit again this year.

I never really honestly expected them to add anything to OF this year anyways.

Reading the mymaddenpad blog about this I saw this said...

. I mean there is actually no fluff feature for Madden 12 that I would give up to fix Madden Online Franchises. Would you give up no suctions? Would you give up improved zones? Would you give up DPP that is also going to apply to Online Franchises? I wouldn’t. What would you give up?
I believe the author is someone who goes to Community Day's. That might confirm DPP applies to OF.

Here is a quote from some EA source that Pasta put on his site earlier.

When it comes to the tight schedule of an annual development cycle, we have to make tough decisions, and it became apparent as we continued to work through our campaign that there was no way to deliver a deep, fully connected Online Franchise experience that you deserve this year. Therefore, there will be no additions to Online Franchise mode in Madden NFL 12.

                      so aka:

We decided to scrap the thing hard core maddeners want and just stuck with making sure the popular things still suck as much before. Oh and hey look we're hyping up offline franchise just to suck some of you back in.

                      Leafs offseason training!

(Enough of) You guys will still buy anyway. Don't worry, they'll probably sell you the new additions as DLC next year.

You have to respect EA"s hustle from a business perspective, too bad we're gamers though.

Exactly. What would we give up? I'd give up MUT as a whole if I could have an online franchise mode with offline franchise features. If they really were about making the best, most realistic football game possible, deciding between a fantasy card game vs online franchise shouldn't even be thought about twice. But because people decide to actually buy packs of cards in MUT it brings in money, more money than online franchise does. To anyone who has ever bought something MUT related, this is your fault! I blame you!

Offline franchise last year was unplayable for me because there was no life, it was generic as shit.

Online franchise is only fun depending on the players you have. Otherwise, it's still a barebones mode that it gets annoying (no IR, correct standings, better/longterm stats, etc).

So they admit that they haven't even touched OF and expect us to plunk down another $60?

Unless I get the bug next month, I'll just cancel my Amazon preorder. Fuckers.

Denial - No way this is true? Where'd you read this? Source!?

Anger - This is bullshit, can't believe they didn't add anything again! I'm not buying this!

Bargaining - Hey, maybe we'll at least get expanded rosters, sliders or DPP. Maybe when they release the blog on the 25th they'll reveal something!

Depression - Ugh. OF is really going to be the same again this year

                              Acceptance -

Boy, it sure seems like all you'd have to do is swap some words out and you'd have the same exact excuses they gave for not fixing franchise mode the last few years.

                                Fuck MUT.
