Has anyone considered running flexbone with RnS concepts? Some guys over at ncaa strategies have a discussion about it. In theory, I really like the idea. It is basically a bunch spread and you can really hit some nice intermediate-deep passes out of it. I still use it as a running formation, but, it can get pretty deadly if you incorporate the passing game right.

So I was thinking of doing the coaching carousel thing for my next dynasty. Do you actually play the game, or do you just sim it and pick plays? I want to actually play, but wouldn't mind just running the offence for awhile.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

You play the games as HC. If you start as OC, you only control offense and supersim defense and vice versa if you go DC to start.

Is th CC good to play? I know a lot of people start with 1 star schools then work up, and within a few years are coaching top end schools.

Its ok. I like the idea. But, I have not played deep enough into it. I know that I have read where certain coaches change schools, but, the coaches playbook doesn't go with them to the new school...or something to that effect. But, I have not played deep enough into it to see it for myself.

My other option I'm looking at is to just pick a team from like the SEC, Big Ten or Pac and run something. Running Pitt in the Big East just kind of blows since there is no good teams at all to go up against, so my biggest challenge a year is the one ranked school I play. Unless after this season I play, move Texas A&M to SEC, and move myself to that conference as well.

You only play the side of the ball you are as a coordinator, I.E. OC controls offense and DC controls defense.

I love coaching career ones. So much fun. The coaching caroseul can be a little whacky sometimes, but it functions well enough to get the job done. As an OC, I went from 1* Middle Tennessee to 3* Arizona to 6* Oklahoma, then got hired as the HC at 5* LSU in a 5 year span.

And, both of my PS2's died.

I guess that is what I am trying to debate about right now. Do I want to play this and with 5 years be the HC at a 5 star school, or do I want to take a 3* school and play with them and build them up.

I have no issue playing with Pittsburgh except for the Big East, which at first was good because that allows me a chance to play in every single Bowl game. Except first season I ended up in the National Championship because of how bad the big east was.

I like the idea of building up a school, it is just finding the right balance. I am tired of my PITT one because I haven't lost yet, and I have changed sliders, but the competition is just so shit. And when I play 6 or so conference games, and only one team is decent, I basically am for sure going 5-0 in conference games, and maybe 6-0.

If you want to play as Pitt, but don't want to be in the Big East, you could always swap them to the Big Ten with another team. Or even just add them and some other schools and make a couple of super conferences. There's been serious discussions of it happening IRL so it wouldn't be unrealistic either.

Could be a good option to do. My PITT one is already a 4* team. Just trying to figure out what team to kick out (would lean towards like Indiana or Purdue) or which team to add.

Or I could just go all out and blow up the Big 12.

Send Texas and Oklahoma to Pac, Texas A&M to SEC, move Missouri and myself to Big Ten. Three super conferences.

also you don't have to leave the 1* star school you're at the minute you get a contract extension.

i've been at montana for 5 years now and have turned down the DC job at LSU (after 1 year) and the HC at MSU (after my 4 year extension at montana was up) to stay with montana.

however what sucks about that is you can't be offered a new job until your contract expires, you should be able to leave in the middle of a contract if you want

You can leave whenever you want, it doesn't matter if your contract is up or not.

how do you leave, cause it says you can't sign a new one until your current one is up, and i haven't received an offer unless my current one is up

when the job is open in the CC, view contract, you can the sign off on the contract for that job, or it will tell you that they are going in another direction.

And I also just discovered I have blacklover's rosters saved on my old PS2 memory card.

                                EPIC WIN.
Wow. I just found out some original Xbox games are compatible with 360, so I'm now playing some NCAA 06 on 360. Been wanting to play some old NCAA games for nostalgic reasons but my original Xbox has been broke for years.

                                My day has been made.
