Madden is arguably the most prestigious and well-known sports video games to ever be on a console. Players dream about being granted an opportunity to appear in the game and see how they stack up against the rest of the league in terms of overall rating. You can imagine all the 90 rated players talking trash to all the lower-rated players in the locker room. Not many NFL players have earned the right to be the highest rating possible in the Madden NFL series’ life, but it’s always fun to see which ones do every year. Note that the below list starts at Madden NFL ’99, and that is because the games before that used a complex rating system that had players way over 100. Also, in Madden ’99 and 2000, some players were rated an overall of 100, which was the highest, and no players were rated a 99 overall in the 2001 version of this game.
