Yeah, after not playing the last two versions that much, I think FM10 is going to get the full obsession treatment from me.

I have to give it more time. After spending weeks with 08 and 09, this one is such a departure that I have to give it time to get used to. Which I am sure I will. I haven't been fantasizing about running a Hungarian game for nothingComment

Can't wait to get going on this. Playing the demo is more frustrating than anything else. Not because of the game itself, but because I can't use the clubs I really want to and I know that I'm limited in duration anyway. Grr... That said, I am starting to get the temptation to run an FM dynasty for the first time in a couple of years...Comment

I've always enjoyed starting in the Blue Square South at Hampton & Richmond (I don't know why I picked them, just kind of started in FM '07 and I've kept it that way ever since) and working my way up. Usually I used a created tactic because I have no idea about general strategy, but last year I had some success creating my own after reading that 50ish page guide on the FM forums.
The tactic creator this year has made the game a bit more fun for me, and at the same time all the more frustrating. I can't score for shit. Maybe it's because of the poor quality of my players, but the teams I'm playing against suck even more. My defense is tough and haven't allowed too many goals, and after 10 games, I was 6-0-4 in first place. One loss though dropped me all the way to sixth.
Regardless, this year's version seems fun. If only so many other games weren't coming out that I want.Comment

Definitely ready for the full game here. I went back to the classic tactics in my Newcastle game, didn't really care for it. It didn't really fit with the game. I've messed around with a few other games, but I'm ready to start out unemployed.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Definatly liking the reviews so far... gonna wait till exams are over in a couple of weeks and the facepack guys start churning out full league packs before I make the plunge to FM10.
Does anyone know if Newcastle are still in takeover mode everytime you start a new game with them like in FM 2009? Be cool to make it 1992 all over again to have some rich money bags come in and have you play the role of Keegan as you rocket up the Football World.Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your ChairComment

Ashley's looking for a buyer, and he usually gets one. I was bought a few months in, they wanted to hire Shearer, but they kept me. Hopefully you get a good new owner though, some people were able to get Van der Vaart after one season, and I was lucky enough to get Lansbury for 3mil compensation, and that was after budget adjustments.
I'd recommend Wilshere and Vaughn on loans in the CCC. I had Wilshere, and really wanted him to sign him full time but I didn't have the money. I didn't get Vaughn, but for some people he's been tearing it up. OH, and Franco di Santo, he was great for me.Originally posted by mgoblue2290If you want to win, put Drew in.Comment

Just got a huge logo pack, now I am trying to find a game I like. Currently playing as Stoke, brought in Becks for 700k (never had him). Friendly results have been poor, but we will see what happensComment
