Nintendo 3DS Price Drop To 169.99...Early Adopters Get Rewarded

Ok, so I just picked one up at Best Buy. The guy in the games section was really cool and knowledgable and told me he bought one for his son a month or so ago. He knew all about the impending price drop and even said anyone smart would buy one now and get the price adjustment on the 12th so that you can still get the 20 free downloads.
Initially I was just going to get two games from TRU because they had a B1G1 on select 3DS games but the list was sad. The best game on the list was probably Rayman and the second best was Ridge Racer so I was going to get them even though I really wasn't stoked about either but I needed something to play. Luckily, I guess, the dumb fucks working in games at TRU were slow and moronic and I finally got tired of waiting for this dumb fuck to open the case and I left.
When I went to BB I saw they Ridge Racer was on sale for $20 anyway so pondered getting that again but then I saw Zelda:OoT and figured that was a must buy. As I'm chatting with the dude at checkout I mention that I was interested in Pilot Wings but not for $40. He tells me "Actually, I think we have a deal this week where if you buy Zelda you get s few games for half off and I'm pretty sure PW is one of them. He finds the weekly ad and sure enough, PW and Steel Diver were 50% off with Zelda. So I picked up my black 3DS, Zelda and PW for $310 and I'll get $80 back in a few weeks.:horse:Comment

If you want some serious lulz, check this link...
It seems the Nintendo fanboys that rushed out day one and bought a 3DS are fuming that people like myself are buying the console now, with the forthcoming price adjustment, and also being able to take advantage of the 20 free downloads.
Outrage doesn't even begin to describe what these nerds are feeling right now. Some have even written Nintendo letters detailing this "loophole" that we are "exploiting" and they want action to be taken immediately.

So, for the maybe one other person on this iste that owns one, FYI the ten free GBA games were released this past Friday.
As a reminder the games are:
1) Zelda: Minish Cap
2) F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
3) Wario Land 4 (I didn't even know there were three others?!?)
4) Mario Kart: Super Circuit
5) Yoshi's Island
6) Warioware Inc.
7) Metroid Fusion
8) Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
9) Mario vs Donkey Kong
10) Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Does anyone want to guess which one of those games I played for twenty minutes and will never play again?
Also, as another reminder, Zelda: Four Swords Adventures is still free and only up on the store until I think 02/28/12.
So between, the 10 NES games, 10 GBA games, Four Swords and possibly Excitebike 3D if you were a "legit" early adopter, that's a pretty decent haul.
Plus if you take the time ti sign up for Club Nintendo you can get more games. Basically, for the uninformed, when you buy certain games, mostly first party Nintendo titles, there is a code inside the box. You open an account on Club Nintendo and "register" your games by entering the codes. You can also register your hardware (Wii, Gamecube, DS, 3DS, etc.) Once registered you get coins and get bonus coins if you then take these simple surveys regarding the game. The coins ranged from 10 to 100+ I believe. You use to be able to just redeem the coins for swag and merchandise like posters, book ends, buttons, etc. But now they have opened it up and you can redeem the coins for downloads on the Nintendo e-shop. There are only certain titles that you can redeem the coins for but they are solid.
For example, the games available are:
-Super Mario Kart (Wii, 100 coins)
-Fluidity (150 coins) *Wiiware downloadable game
-3D Classics: Xevious (3DS, 100 coins)
-Mario vs DK: Minis March Again (3DS, 150 coins)
The cool thing is that you can get 10 coins for completing the surveys for each of the FREE ambassador games. So if you complete the surveys for the ten NES games, that's another free game if you want Super Mario Kart on Wii or Xevious. Plus you'll get another 100 coins for doing the surveys for the free GBA games.
Not too shabby.Comment

Not only did I actually dust off my 3Ds the other day and download the lates update, which grants you the ability to record video in 3D, but I've been playing it quite a bit. I picked up Mario Land 3D, Mario Kart 7 and Starfox 64 3D during Best Buy's B2G1 a few weeks ago. Mario Land and MK7 are really awesome. I haven't tried Starfox yet but I hear it;s really good. I actually never played it originally so it will be all new to me.Comment
