I hope none of the characters turn into Brick for me where I want to play them because they seem cool but everyone else you could play as are just that much better.

Keep hearing great things about Borderlands by people in my platoon. They are making it tempting to grab this. I've never been a big fan of RPG's but being on deployment has open my eyes for offline games, instead of just online shooters and sports games like I usually play. I need to read more about this game since I know nothing about it. Maybe theres a story review on Youtube I can look at?

I never liked "RPGs" before this game either, at least the traditional ones, or more specifically JRPGs. But I absolutely LOVE this game. Everything about it is awesome, except maybe the story which is lacking. If you don't have PS+ you should probably still be able to find the GotY version with all the DLC for $20 which is a steal. You could probably jump right into 2 but I highly recommend playing 1 because it's so good. And even if you're away the game supports LAN I believe so you can hook up four Xboxes or four PS3's and really have a blast because co-op is where it's at in that game.

Just ordered the GOTY version and Borderlands 2 from Amazon. Along with Sleeping Dogs and preordered NBA 2k13.. I think I'm set for a while.
