New Heads And Skins To Be Released On January 22nd, According To Gearbox
With Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt being released in less then 24 hours, the great folks over at Gearbox have just announced the next downloadable content Borderlands 2 fans can expect to get their hands on: New heads and skins for your favorite vault hunters.
What exactly can we expect to be added with this downloadable content, you say? Well, look no further. We have the first images of the first batch of heads and skins that is set to drop on January 22nd. But that’s not all. Gearbox also stated during a recent live stream of Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game hunt that we should be expecting a total of 15 new heads and skins for our favorite vault hunters to be added. In addition, these heads seem to be apart of the new update.
At the moment, there has been no official announcement if these new heads and skins will be be available free of charge.

Rev3Games review.
Story's iffy and the play time is less than the previous DLCs but...
More rare monsters to snuff out (all that Eridium you've been saving up now is used to summon them apparently... in exchange, if you kill them, you get rare Hammerlock-themed weapons);
And l00tz galore.
Of note, if you didn't know, this DLC does take place after the main game and is scaled to Level 30 and above.Comment

So...
Played a bit of the new DLC with Donny.
Turns out, EVERYTHING on it will eat your lunch if you aren't careful.
Boroks, Giant Spider... things, Gun-Toting Savages that buff up levels if you don't kill them quick enough (and they regen their whole lifebar in the process; think Goliaths but MEANER once you shoot them in the face)...
I've been asking for a DLC of this type for months and I got it. :jhenbeatkwon:Comment

Not that it should count but I solo'd Hyperius and won.
The "counting" part pertains to myself going in through Normal Mode and doing it as he was Level 32 at the time and I fought him with a grossly overleveled LVL 44 Axton.
The only Purple he dropped was a LVL 30 Sentry Engineer Class Mod for Axton and a shit-ton of greens/blues/whites that I had no use for.
Still, figured out how to beat him through PT1 and it's one step closer to the trophy.Comment

I had Hyperius on the ropes solo today but he got me with that stupid blast radius attack. I thought I was far enough back and it wiped me from full strength to dead in one shot. I let some randoms on XBL join in and we beat him yesterday but they snagged all of the crystals before I could get even one of themComment

I've gotten Axton up to LVL 45 through mostly legit means (I've hopped into another game or two as I've mentioned in this thread; some with VASTLY overleveled enemies I've fought with) and now I'm just in it for the rares.
Skins, heads, if it's an orange or a purple, I've probably seen it in gun form.
The only thing that sucks is that I've seen/sold stuff like "The Cradle" shield because it was LVL 15 and I had no use for it; and shit like that I could get to drop since I bought the game brand new.
And now I've gotten a LVL 30 Critical Slow Hand shotgun from Truck-a-saurus but I have nobody to pawn it off to because the stupid PSN network is down.
First World Gamer Problems I suppose.Comment
