Every area you've unlocked that contains a Boss will allow you to go back later and "farm."
If you do it on Playthrough 1, they stay at the same level that you find them in (Henry's usually at 12-15 while The Warrior's at 32 max for example).
They'll still have the same percentages to drop special loot but you'll get less XP the more times you kill them (BNK-3R gives you full bars to begin with but can end up just giving you less than 100 xp if you grind long enough).
The trick is: If you want a VERY SPECIFIC piece of loot (using Henry for example again), you need to find a localized checkpoint that'll save your spot in the area and then quit out to the Main Menu.
From there, reload the save you were on and return to the boss you want to farm.
The reasoning for this being that it resets the percentages to get the VERY SPECIFIC piece of loot you want BECAUSE after you rekill the boss, it sets the percentage for special loot so low that you might as well leave and kill other shit instead.
It's weird but the checkpoint/reload thing works because I did it to get Axton's rare head with the top hat with it.
PT 2.5 is basically the Post-Game after you beat the main story on True Vault Hunter Mode.
You can't go through the game a third time around but any side mission you haven't completed yet (Pro-Tip: NEVER touch the side missions on TVHM until AFTER you complete ALL the main campaign story missions) will now scale to your level, which should be 50 at that point.Comment

The only problem I have with that advice is the second bit where it says you're better off not farming after the initial encounter. You have to go back and re-kill bosses in playthrough 2.5 in order to get the level 50 legendaries. The only boss that's probably worthy of retrying on the first fight is The Warrior at the end of playthrough 2 because the Conference Call is a major pain in the ass to farm and it'll help nicely farming the other bosses in playthrough 2.5.Comment

It's a pain in the ass to farm anyway to get guns like the Conference Call.
Other than the guaranteed Oranges you can buy from the Torgue DLC, I'd think someone would rather have better percentages in any case.
To each their own though.
*I say this because everyone's got their own ways to get the drops to happen more often.Comment
