Official Madden 12 Demo Impressions Thread

That is what you call game planning. Pick your poison. You want to slide protection to the strength of the defense? Better have a good backside blocker in you RB. All realistic, not to mention you named to of the best defensive players in the league. Never easy to block them.

When to the left I have Chad Clifton and I figure that he won't be able to block Peppers one on one I decide to keep Quarless in to block. Unless I slide protect what will happen is Quarless will block Peppers (disaster) while Clifton doesn't block anyone. This isn't realistic. I should be able to block Idonije with my right tackle while also double teaming Peppers. But I can't, the game won't allow it. Not realistic at all.

I see what you are saying. What level are you playing on? Forget it if its AM, the CPU just cheats like a bitch. The game I played on *AP was a lot more realistic and seemed like match ups could go anyway. On AM I avg about 2 yards a carry with Grant while I was just beasting on AP with Forte. Had 87 yards in the 1st half and finished with over 120 and 2 TDs.

I always have trouble playing the cpu in Madden. It was on All-Pro though. I never play on All-Madden.

I might start at Pro and mess around with sliders from there til I get something realistic to what I want. Gonna need these sliders for franchise mode though.

Also, I never see that many injuries, but, in my game Clay Matthews was out for the season after the 3rd play of the game with a torn pectoral muscle. Could you imagine first game in franchise and BAM! Your best pass-rusher goes down for the year?

It feels worse when you lose your teams best defensive player in week one in real life though. UIrlacher from a few years ago. Definitely can't reset that.

They gave up the most sacks last year. It's nice to see that every oline won't provide incredible protection anymore.

I couldn't run for shit against the Packers. Passing is a breeze with Rodgers, Finley had a crazy diving mid-air grab in the endzone on one play. Never seen that animation before.

My favorite thing this year is when you actually get your hands on the QB he will either
A) Get sacked or B) Manage to shake off the tackler. Very rarely does the QB throw the ball like 3 yards in front every time on impact when going for a sack.
