    I'm 99% sure it's the placebo effect. I've tried it extensively with and with out holding LT and it feels exactly the same. Not to mention, an EA employee replied to that thread on OS and said it doesn't do a thing. It's a pity, really, because the fucked up trajectory is the one thing holding this game back from being great.

      It's the one thing that's definitely cause me to break a controller already.

        It definitely lobster the ball no question, and it is a sufficient work around, and like krul said it doesn't seem to take longer to release ball, obviously you don't want to do it every pass. I also had to change my controller set up from having a L1 receiver to R1.
