The tournament guys have it right. Only thing that should be banned is outright glitches (and money plays that cannot be stopped.) Everyone would be better off if they took that approach. All these dumb arguments would be avoided.

The whole cheese thing is nonsense. I've heard some of the most inane things labeled as cheese:
-subbing a HB in at FB
-bouncing inside runs to the outside
-having a 90/10 run:pass ratio
-going for it on 4th down (even in opponent's territory)

on and on. Just beyond stupid.

It's a strategy game, it's chess. More like checkers with EA though . If I can beat you with a simplistic strategy that's your problem. It's on you to adjust and force me to change what I'm doing. There's no such thing as cheese. It's hilarious how the sim guys can't even come to an agreement about whats OK and what isn't. Ask 10 people what's sim you get 10 answers cause it's just subjective nonsense.

NFL teams don't mix up playcalling and have balance for the sake of it. They don't do it to respect the game or whatever. They do it because they'd get eaten alive by the other teams' coaches if they didn't.

I am not for a second bashing you, you're obviously a great tourney player ... but DSA would have been better.

Korn would fucking merk DSA Dave idk what your sippin on, I've played them both. DSA undoubtedly had his money plays and adjustments, dude beat me by like 2 points when I fumbled inside the red zone right before the game ended. Korn beat me by like 10-13 points, and had me a hell of a lot more confused. DSA's money plays and defensive nano's were tricky to pick up on, and a naive player wouldn't notice them, but I did and so have a lot of other people.

Saying DSA played with a garbage team... when all that matters is speed... is ridiculous. I don't even think I've been beat at MM/VSN while using the Raiders, but I've def lost a good amount of games using all the other teams. Speed is king, a lot of the tourney ballers and high rated guys online leaderboards use the Raiders and there's a reason for that. Having guys with such high speed and agility also makes your stick skills look far greater than they are, because the player's cuts and spins are so much quicker around your controlled defender. Factor in your age and arthritis from jerking off and opening cans of cat food and your going to think he's pretty spectacular.

We arent talking about committing crimes, its a video game. If everyones approach is the same then all is fair. We all know Korn is cheesy as fuck by sim standards but the tourney scene is everyone playing that way so they know whats coming. They arent crying cheese, in their eyes all is fair game so he is winning legit. He plays within the rules of the tourney scene.

I always beat DSA.. two years in a row under that MM tourny, and in league play with the Bills. He beat possibly one time and that's it. He always said I cheesed him when I did too, which is hilarious to me because that kid had money plays and he played in the sim community. And when did Izzy ever trash me??? Don't be an idiot, last time I played Izzy I put up over 70 on him. And like I said in Madden 11 I was a top 2 player in the nation last year.. so you think DSA can beat me now when he couldn't even do it back when I didn't even know how to come up with money plays????? lol...

I'm an honest person and I dont give a shit if people think I'm lying, but Mobb was very cheesey against me. He had no respect for me so I'm sure he didn't give two shits. We played one game and it was a shootout... but never did I get the feeling of "wow, this dude is really outsmarting me." Instead, I got the feeling of "this dude knows how Madden XX plays."

Nothing wrong with that. Everyone learns how a game plays as they go. I got the same feeling with DSA, and OOBL.

In contrast, when playing timsgiants (once), dude just outsmarted me in a football sense.
