I remember when NFLST was $189 for new subscribers and like $159 for re-occurring ones. The cost of it now is insane.

This thread reminded me to call DirecTV and see if they would help out a loyal subscriber (been with them for almost 10 years now) and sure enough.. they did.
Knocked $200 off my Sunday Ticket price.. I'm only paying $140 for it (6 payments of $23)

That's my problem too. I want Philadelphia and Buffalo games. Because we get Boston and Seattle American channels on our satellite service, we're stuck with the Patriots and Seahawks (understandably). If Philadelphia is playing a team like Jacksonville, no chance it gets national coverage ... and I'm screwed. My Twitch video link: http://www.twitch.tv/dave374000

I am not a current subscriber so I won't drop the money on it, but I am excited for the NFL and Sony. This is a huge deal, IMO.
I'll probably just go the sports bar route if I need to see a Falcons game, and if not I'll settle for streams. $350 is a lot for 4 months of programming.Comment

Lots of complaints about the price...it's not that bad. I live in Louisiana, so I never get 49ers games. We only have two primetime games this year, so if I just wanted to get this deal to watch the other 14, it would work out to about 24 bucks per game. Way cheaper than going to the game, and even cheaper than going to a bar and watching it (if you factor in gas money, food, and drinks). And that's not even including the fact that you get every other game in the NFL to watch your favorite players, or the most enticing match-ups, or your clutch fantasy player.
I won't get it myself because I practically live offshore, so I'll end up missing most of the games anyway...but it's a solid deal for the land dwellers, without a doubt.Comment

I get to watch my favorite team every week but I can't get enough (regular season) NFL football. I'll probably be one of the suckers that splurges on this.
I would like to see a free trial on this similar to MLB TV just to see how good the streams are. I don't want to risk spending $340 on a crappy stream. That shit better be crystal clear.Comment
