None of the sports season pkg I have include preseason (99% sure)....I have Sunday Ticket, Center Ice, & Extra Innings but I do agree that it sucks. They should just charge $100 for preseason ($25 a game if you watch just 1 team) but if you buy the regular season, you get it for free (or that $100 would be credited toward season payment). That would bring in newbies and get them hooked and keep customers coming back thinking they are getting a deal.

For baseball, if you have the sports package, any spring training games that air are not blacked out. So essentially, they are free. I believe it's the same for basketball & hockey.

The NFL is obviously different, because local networks carry the games. I'm actually pretty surprised they haven't tried to bleed people dry and offer these games for a price.

was it worth 15$ though to watch the 49ers? They remind of the Dave Brown Giants where I got excited with a passing first down as if it were a touchdown.

I can't justify the $15 price when I don't really care that much about pre-season and can watch all of the games on NFLN the following week if I'm interested in a particular one. It is a nice option though for people that want to see every play of the pre-season in real time.

Sure was. Would you pay $15 for the Giants?

Understandable. I was posting that info for the people who said they wanted to see their team during the preseason

So is this supposed to be part of the store update tomorrow? I would hope so. Either way talk about last minute.

If it's not in the update tomorrow then it wouldn't be available for week 1 of the season unless they did a special update just for Sunday Ticket. Sony really missed a huge opportunity with this offer in my opinion. There are tons of people that either can't get satellite where they live or just don't want to switch from their current provider and would love Sunday Ticket. I could even see some people buying a PS3 just to get Sunday Ticket using their existing Internet connection and not having to switch to DirecTV.

Sony's Marketing department gets an epic fail award for this one.

I was debating getting the slingbox and set it up at my cousin's but now with this I am not sure what to do.....it sound awesome though.

Add also that Time Warner is rumored to launching their WideBand service soon, and they are going to give away slingboxes for free to people who upgrade to that.

Not really sure what to do....
