Ehh you know I get it you guys want to hype up something that has surprisingly lasted more then 3 days on vsn but seriously you guys keep saying "we talked about this in the podcast" or "I said this during the podcast". No one listens to it from here. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there's more people like me that just got put off by it early on and just have no reason to listen to it because of who is on there.
Now back to the topic.

It just goes to show you how these big retailers, specifically Gamestop, have these companies in their back pockets. Why else wouldn't they under cut them and offer digital versions for much cheaper than the physical versions?
It reminds me of politics and the whole lobbying system.Comment

I believe he is referring to me, and probably Knubb who has been on the last several episodes. Knubb is a self proclaimed PlayStation fanboy and isn't afraid to show his stripes on the podcast, which I understand why that can turn some people off. For some reason many people also lump me in that category which couldn't be further from the truth. It's to the point where I emphasize every time I buy a 360 version of a game, like most recently Deus Ex. I just despise a lot of MS's marketing and business practices and voice my opinions on the matter. Sony and Nintendo do stupid shit too but when I talk negatively about them no one seems to notice.
But I digress.
As far as this whole policy, it's complete bullshit. Gamestop has the right to run their business how they see fit but opening a game and removing content inside is just plain grimey. At least they relented and agreed to take back returns.
This is just one of many slimey policies that Gamestop practices on a regular basis. Another one that I have mentioned before is how they tell their employees to NOT remind people if they have and pre-order money down because they hope that some customers will forget and they get to keep their money. Unless you ask they are instructed never to remind you. I actually witnessed an employee getting scolded because she mentioned to a mother, who had her son with her, that "You still have a $5 pre-order on X game and that game got canceled so you can apply that to this purchase." The mother had no idea and had completely forgotten she had plunked down any pre-order money. As soon as she left the manager ripped into the clerk.Comment
