That review definitely sounds a little more on target or at least written from the perspective of one of the people as a game to play in depth and not just arcade style.
If by hardcore Madden gamers you mean, run out and buy every year regardless, then no...no they do not care about ratings.
Well, it's kind of hard to ball without the game isn't it? What I mean by hardcore is guys that play it all year around. Could care less what some dick has to say about a game that will only be played for a month or two.
