PS3 box says 1080p. game startedup in 1080p and as soon as the ea logo came in dropped down to 720p. Srs EA? they do this so they can advertise this shit on the box?

Seriously though did anyone else notice this? I looked at the box and saw 1080p and said GREAT. So I load the game and I see it says 1080p in the corner then as soon as the EASports logo hits, it sets itself down to 720p. Lame as fuck marketing tactic or am I doing something wrong?Comment

I think somewhere in your PS3 settings you can force it to only run 1080 otherwise it will drop back to 720 because it is probably the default resolution for Madden. I remember MLB the Show being the same way a few years back.
I won't have teh game until tomorrow otherwise I would test it. I know I saw someone on OS praising how good it looked in 1080 though.

Will the game run smooth at 1920x1080 though? If they say on the box then it should run at 30FPS on 1080 I suppose but who knows with EAComment
