Imported NCAA Draft Class into Franchise

Ok. So I'm doing an experiment with the draft class from The Golden Shower NCAA 12 OD. I made sure to save this after we got through the Players Leaving part.

First thing I notice week 1 of recruiting is a player named Stephen Garcia from South Carolina with a Projected Round of 0. Luck, Lindley from SD State, Davis from ECU and Weeden from Oklahoma St are projected first round (these are guys from the OD teams.. lol..).. Moore is 3rd and Harris is 4th..

Looking through the rest of the positions and there are a ton of these guys projected round 0. Keenum won the Heisman in our OD with 5000 yards and like 50 TDs and is projected a 7th rounder. Interesting.

I'll post the guys I scouted at the end of the season. Projected rounds don't change as you scout, so I don't expect much there..

I'll keep this updated as I go through to the draft..

If anyone actually cares to follow this, post some guys you want me to scout and I'll see what I can do. After the draft is over, I'll go through and post some OVR as well.

0 means undrafted if that's what you're wondering.

The thing that really bugs me is that we can't edit these new rookies weight and features. All the quarterbacks being drafted off the NCAA classes look stupid. They're really skinny with really wide shoulders that makes them look like cartoons.

It should just say that then. On the stock Madden draft classes it doesn't look as weird..

Want to see a few simulations of what happens in the draft...I want to see the randomness of a draft class and how players slot.

Will do. I'm going to sim the whole draft a couple of times and I'll post any freakish things and the first and second round of both.

Just found out Andrew Luck is an 85 OVR after bringing him in for an individual workout.

The guys that were projected round 0 during scouting now have N/A while in the draft. A little better than before considering I had to sort through a bunch of round 0 projections on the sort to get to the other guys.

3rd Round Jets took a kicker and Kellen Moore went to the Packers..

4th round Rams took a kicker and the Cardinals took a punter..

5th round Bucs took Jacory Harris.. Marquis Maze went to the Saints and Dallas didn't learn from having a Barth on the team before so they drafted Casey...

6th round, KC took Chas Alecxih DT from Pitt .. LaMichael James went to St. Louis, Nick Toon to Buffalo.. Crist to the Giants.. Keenum the Heisman winner to Dallas..

7th round Michael Floyd WR to lions.

So a punter in the first and a kicker in the 2nd. The 3rd round and beyong kickers and punters I'm not too worried about.. I'm gonna go through the signings and preseason so I can see what the top ratings of the rookies were, then I'll go through another sim of the draft.

Alrighty.. So here are your top rated guys coming out of that draft class. Just a sidenote, I think it's awesome that the Niners ended up getting the 1st overall pick and drafting Luck. It's extremely realistic. The punter going #3 overall, however, is not. So I don't know what to think. We'll see what happens on the 2nd sim I guess.

There are a ton of guys really close to each other in rating. They did a decent job with the downstepping of ratings from NCAA to Madden.

The second sim went the same as the first. Punter 3rd overall to the Lions, kicker in the 2nd to the packers, most other picks made sense. I'm gonna try it again with a different draft class file and see what happens.

Wow.. So I did another sim of this season with a different draft class file. The Chargers won the AFC West but the Chiefs were right behind them. Chiefs went into Foxboro in the Divisional Playoff and beat the Pats 45-44 in a crazy shootout, then lost to the Chargers in the AFC Championship. The 9-7 Rams made it to the Super Bowl for the NFC and beat San Diego 31-19. Crazy stuff.

No freakish stats yet again. This is looking pretty good.

Manning and Rivers both threw for over 4000 with Manning having 34 TDs and Rivers 27.

Ray Rice led the league in rushing with 1711 yards and 15 TDs. Michael Bush had 400 carries for 1669 yards and 13 TDs for the Raiders. Only weird thing I've seen so far.

Vincent Jackson was the receiving leader with 102 catches, 1545 yards and 11 TDs. Antonio Gates also had 82 catches for 1100 yards and 8 TDs.

Joey Porter had 18 sacks, Demarcus Ware with 17 and Chris Long, Ray Edwards and John Abraham had 16. Asante Samuel with 7 INTs.

Rivers won himself an MVP and Kubiak was Coach of the Year. I guess the Texans won 10 games this year so they felt obligated.

                              Draft stuff upcoming.
