Best Madden players are manual guys with stick skills. The computer isn't that good in comparison.

Complaining about people not controlling someone seems dumb. Your opponent is taking the inferior option, let him. Yeah it might make the game more boring but I'm trying to win.

Only exception is if you're playing a guy who's going to make more mistakes user-controlling people than the computer would. And if that's the case why should he take control of a guy just so he can make more mistakes against you?

Honestly, who gives a damn anymore about manual/non-manual? I swear people bitch about some of the most dumb things. Let these people play how they want, at long as they are sim. He has to be manual when he runs the ball and passes it, and it's not stopping you from doing anything. If he chooses to play with the DL so be it, run at him to see if he can stop you, that's what I do.

i really dont care one way or another but it is just a preference overall.
not to mention that is more common nowadays to see that kind of online play.
i am getting old and getting used to it i suppose :D

BUT
at the same token, i see that some of these players are also letting the clock run out on D so that the CPU/"Ask Madden" choice of Defensive play calling is selected.

so now, the combination of controlling a DL (initially) and letting the CPU/"Ask Madden" to choose a Defensive play is going a bit overboard.

throw the "Non-Click"/Click-Off tackles in the mix and what is left??

I play the DT because I like to follow the ball. Not to try a sack the QB on every play. Just to make him think faster. If the RB has the ball i'm going after the rb, if you throw the down field, i'm switching to a downfield defender and trying the pick or tackle.. And on offence I don't care what another player plays. I don't care if they take their DB or LB and move them right behind the line, so that the can come in unblocked. You can call yourself "manual" all you want. There is 11 players on the field. You can only control 1. So you if the ball goes where you are not you did nothing. Plus I'm more about play calling. I try note to call the same play more than 2x the whole game... LOL

I couldn't care less what pos people play. If they wanna play dline that's fine. They can stay there and i can not worry about them on pass plays. And if their effective stopping the run that's fine, i'll just pick plays where that guys gets double teamed.

That's actually an effective strategy that I don't think it's really as you say, I'll use it from time to time depending on how the play is unfolding.

If someone's got a chance to get the edge with a good HB vs me controlling a midrate defender, then I'll push my guy into position and click off to bring another guy into the play.

If I get juked, i'm fucked.
If I tackle and it's broken, i'm fucked.
If I make the tackle, i'm not fucked.

Odds are not in my favour, but bringing in a second tackler changes that. That's not gay, that's why people don't usually run well vs me.

Now you prolly use the X button or some shit? 2) This isn't against any guidelines that we have ever implemented as a group so stfu. 3) if you play dline all game any solid player will absolutely rape. 4) people can play any position they fuckin want shut the hell up. /end
