    Proposed Rule: Fair Catch

So in a game I noticed if you moved out of the way of a punt and signaled fair catch as their player entered the halo in attempt to down the ball that team will get called for fair catch interference. This is gay. I haven't seen anything like this happen here but I think there should be a rule that you either fair catch, or if you move out of the way of the ball that you cannot signal fair catch as the other team is trying to down it in the halo. What do you all think?:yawkey:

no need for a rule, it's cheesy so fuck it. just don't do it.

although in real life, if you call fair catch you cannot make contact with the kicking team before the ball is touched..that's 15 yard penalty.

I think you can pick it up and run once it bounces no matter what.

this... ive never had a problem with mm/vsn guys we ALL know that if you call fair catch you cant block the opposing team from trying to down the punt, its illegal in the NFL.

          what about this...

u go as a defender to stop the ball but you accidently boot it into endzone. Shouldnt this be a touchback or it stopped where the defender first touched the ball?

No asking if its cheese or not just asking as a general NFL rule.

On Madden Ive touched the ball at the one then it rolled into the end zone and the offense had taken over on the 1. IRL its a touchback.

Not as bad as soem of the guys here that will call fair catch then run in a circle and at your defender to try and block them resulting in a penalty... or is that what you are saying?

Funny how QB sneak is cheap in Madden, but taking off with Denard all game in NCAA is perfectly fine.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

                      "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

                        It's not funny, it's logical.

QB sneak is guaranteed yards. A mobile QB can be stopped by a user spy.

Oh yeah, when you see a QB with tons of yards, logic is to use a spy, or play LB to make sure you can cover him.

i dont feel bad when people come out in 4-3 when im in goaline. if you go into goaline the QB does the dive animation. in real life QB sneak is fairly successful on inches and 1 yard to go and its the same in madden. I have also been stuffed a few times.

I do think it is whack how QB blows through the line when the user selects something other than goaline tho. I imagine that will be patched.

Denard was 2nd in the NCAA last year with 1700 yard rushing, right behind Lemichael Jame's 1730...just sayin.

And yeah, that is the logic, you can spy a running QB, but if u QB sneak he's gunna go 4 yards before he even gets touched if your not in goalline, or happen to pick the wrong guy in goalline. That's cheap.
