    Microsoft's Major Nelson has revealed that 40 different partners have been confirmed for the live TV functionality coming to your Xbox 360. There's some surprising stuff in the list just past the jump, including HBO Go, Comcast, SyFy and Verizon. Turns out that report was correct!

    Hit the jump for the full list of initial TV partners for the upcoming Fall Dashboard Update, which has a tentative launch date of "Holiday 2011."

    They have been talking about this for awhile. 2 XBL dashboard updates ago there was a hoax picture that showed that this was already added to the dashboard. This is great news.

          I never got into using my XBOX for anything but games. Last.Fm was the only other thing I would use when cleaning the house or something.

          DVR functionality would be nice....I currently don't have one b/c I don't want to watch a lot of TV.

            this isnt very pratical. u would need a console in each room with a TV and knowing xbox u would need each one to use its own XBL account.

            plus i am not seeing many channels. My count is 11 US channels including the usual pay ones like netflix and hulu....plus some cable providers.

                  Huh? Why would you think that. Whats wrong with just having 1 console in one room?


                  It's just TV for your XBOX that you'll receive through the internet. It isn't like comcast where you're gonna get like 3 or 4 boxes and spread them through the house as your main(only) source of TV.

                      I refuse to pay for cable, haven't had it for years.
