I still got my SNES and NHL 94'. I'll fuck them Kings up.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

        "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

The Chiefs were off limits in Madden '93 in my neighborhood. Christian Okoye + Derrick Thomas....winning.....

The other thing I remember about NHL94 was that trading was easy once you figured out the system. It was basically a 3 point system, in that, if the overall totals were 3 points between each other, then you could make a deal. Don't know how many times I turned a 77 player into a 92, just by going 77-80-83-86-89-92. Of course by the time its all said and done, players are all over the place.

Also remember the noise meter, and it was all about smashing the thing every game.

Man, those were the days. Hats coming onto the ice and crowd meters in NHL, cut always to other games in progress in Madden, huge on field celebrations with stages in FIFA.

That charm factor is long gone in games these days, and unfortunately, it's never coming back.

Madden 2004 Atlanta Falcons... because of 2 players. Vick and Dunn.

Scramble with Vick and run, or dump it to Dunn.

                        lol wut?

The NHL series has brought back many of these funny little things people remember.

All they literally have left to bring back is the crowd meter lol.

                        Leafs offseason training!

Ken Griffey Jr presents Major League Baseball......I played with a lot of people and usually the games ended up being the Braves and Mariners. The Braves had their all-star assortment of pitchers and Chipper and Andruw Jones, while the Mariners had arguably three top 10 players in the game with Griffey, A-Rod and Randy Johnson.

I also played a lot of NHL 2002, and usually played as the Avalanche, as they had Sakic, Forsberg and Blake, plus Patrick Roy. That was a dominant team.
