Still my favorite GTA of all-time. Yes, even over Vice City (although that soundtrack was fucking amazin). GTA 3 will always have a special place in my heart as my first GTA game ever played...and it was like crack all throughout high school.

I love hearing the stories about this game. No one gave two shits about it when it was on display at E3 many years ago. Apparently it was so buggy and looked so bad most "experts" didn't think it would see teh light of day. Then it goes on to be one the most innovative and greatest games ever made.

It's because of that that Rockstar does not have a presence at E3 any more.

Like Pac-Man, Defender & DOOM, GTA III is one of those games that took the industry in a new direction. I still rock it to this day. To me, it's second only to San Andreas, but it has the best map. I love the dark, dreary urban landscape. Soundtrack is excellent, again, second only to SA.

If could live there, I want Asuka's Newport condo.

I wish the entire GTA III universe(Liberty, Vice, SA) would get the next-gen treatment.

I never actually beat GTA III. I spent most of my time using the full armor and health cheat trying to get the Army to come after me. I usually ended up dying when the FBI came.

Well I got an iPad 2 for Christmas today. So for 3 bucks I just had to pick this game up. Controls are easier than I thought they'd be.

Agreed. I made my wife buy it for her IPad the other day. I think I crashed the car with 8Ball 2 or 3 times to start the game. Once I got the hang of it, it worked well.
