A good portion of those games Padman listed are playable on almost any machine now

It's not a matter of having a PC capable of playing them. There are a lot of people, like myself, that have zero interest in playing games on a PC.

I think it would be a good thing to separate the threads. Like I said, there are enough people, like you, that play primarily on PC, that are looking for deals. It would make it easier for both sides. How many times have you came into the thread to find it it;s only console deals?

I really think we need a separate Steam thread. Nothing like seeing the deals thread updated and checking in to see...PC games. There are only a handful of people that are hardcore PC but it seems like a good idea considering all the deals Steam offers.

Meh. There are really only two times a year when PC game deals outweigh console deals in this thread (once during the summer, once during winter). Outside of the two major Steam sales, the volume of PC deals that get posted here over the course of a year isn't much.

CB also brings up a good point that most newer PCs are capable of running a lot of the games that come up in these sales because they are either older games or from smaller developers who generally release games that don't require a lot of horsepower to run. Some of the latter games have better value on PC since they can offer a lot more free content and updates than they could on consoles (Super Meat Boy immediately comes to mind).

Well, I don't know if I agree with that. It seems to me that there is a post about Steam deals at least every other page. Which is a great thing for PC players. I just think that it would be easier for both PC players and console players if there were separate threads. And of course if there is someone like you that seems to play both pretty equally it's just as easy.

I have absolutely no interest in PC gaming, for the record. I have a PS3 and a 360 but not a gaming computer, no way I'm going to bog down my laptop with those games.

Okay, hold on, I just bought WWE from Best Buy on Monday night, so I can go back and get my $30 back correct? I've never done that before but I'm absolutely going to. I tossed my receipt but they can look it up on the computer, right?

As long as it's not Online Price Only, they will give you the difference back. They can look it up if you put it on a card (not paid in cash).

edit: if it's a DOTD, it will be a hit/miss. Some are having success having stores match the price, while others are striking out.

Went to BB and got Top Spin 4 and 2 copies of WWE 12 (one for me one for my cousin). Spent $65. Pretty awesome. They are indeed price matching their online price so get them while you can!
