no the MSRP is still $60. IMO I would wait till you can get for $30 or less.

$30 was/is my price point but for $5 more and free shipping I would've bitten. But the Amazon page says the price is $39.99 and the Gold Box deal only took $5 off. Unless they just have it on sale this week for $40?

The Campaign was boring even with COOP. The optional challenges make it a bit better. The only way it would be fun and strategic would be to play it on INSANE with 4 players. To be honest I dont even remember the last boss....if there was any.

So I hear. Plus it sounds short as fuck. I'm a big fan of the series so i do want to get it but I'll just stick to my $30 price tag. By then hopefully Ike and Swarley will get it as well and maybe we can find one more like my cousin.

I just check. Its 40 bucks for Amazon Prime peoples. Funny though that on Amazon its only rated 3 stars. Had I known I probably would have gotten it too. But I can continue to wait.

I guess you're mostly right. Gears 1 was pretty short and it was the giant hype train that had everyone buying it day one. I thought the Gears 2 and 3 campaigns were a pretty decent length but my memory is horrible. Of course we played 3 on Insane so that always makes it seem longer than it is.

I just check. Its 40 bucks for Amazon Prime peoples. Funny though that on Amazon its only rated 3 stars. Had I known I probably would have gotten it too. But I can continue to wait.

I don't think Amazon is as bad as a site like Metacritic with that stuff but I wouldn't take too much stock in user reviews. I haven't looked at them but I would guess that a lot of the really negative ones are from PS3 fanboys. You'll see the same thing in reverse anytime a PS3 exclusive releases too.

Edit: Actually, I just read several of the most recent reviews, most of which are negative, and they don't seem to be from fanboys at all. Most are pretty lengthy and well written. And wait, Judgment doesn't have HORDE?!?

We played a pretty good amount of it for the first several weeks of release. At least I did. I also wouldn't mind popping it back in because I'm pretty sure they released more maps for it with the Season pass that I never tried.

the only problem with Horde mode was having to play for like 4-5 hours to get to Wave 50...otherwise it was fun

Guessing you meant hours, but yeah, you're right. Playing through all the waves took way too long IMO, even on Casual.
