Heists Coming to GTA Online This Spring
Everyone's been waiting for the heists—the signature criminal activities from Grand Theft Auto V's story mode—to come to the game's online component. Rockstar says they're coming this spring.P

A post on the Rockstar Newswire lays out updates coming to the blockbuster open-world title over the next few months:P

Capture Creator: Coming next week, the Creator community will be able to make their own original customized Capture Jobs and add to the over 3.5 million (and counting) player-created Deathmatches and Races currently available on Social Club. Strategically place pick-ups, define weaponry, set location, and tweak tons of other variables to make your own unique Capture Job for others to take on. We will also be reviewing your homemade Capture creations to stamp standout experiences as Rockstar Verified.

The High Life Update: The High Life Update will allow you to expand your foothold in Los Santos with new high-end apartment options, the powerful Bullpup Rifle, new wardrobe items, the Dinka Thrust motorcycle and three new lavish cars to choose from, including the Super class Pegassi Zentorno. The High Life Update will also feature the debut of multi-property ownership in GTA Online, which means you'll be able to own two distinct properties (with garages) simultaneously. All this plus the new Mental State player statistic, which is designed to let you see just how passive or psychotically unhinged fellow players in your session really are, and a slew of new Jobs.

Players have been waiting for the Heists feature ever since the rocky launch of Grand Theft Auto Online last fall. While the service has stabilized, stamped out cheating exploits, and curated user-created missions for the general public to play, Heists—with their promise of an online interpretation of the in-house Rockstar set-piece sensibility—still stand as the kind of feature that could make GTAO stand out from other games' multiplayer offerings. I ran across a website while playing the game a few months ago that seemed to want to have real estate available (houses though, not apartments) but the website wasn't finished.

I guess I'll brush the dust off of that disc in spring.

Top Changes

• A new Lester ability has been added. Players will now be able to call Lester to have him tell his Cop buddies to turn a blind eye to any crime you may or may not be committing for a short period of time.
• Players are now awarded more cash when completing Parachute, Races, Deathmatches and LTS jobs with less than 4 players.
• Every time a player likes or dislikes content they will receive 50 RP.
• Fixed an issue where players who had upgraded Personal Vehicles prior to 1.10 were only able to sell them for $10,000.
• Fixed an issue where players lost the Gusenberg Sweeper despite having purchased it during the Valentine’s Event.
• Fixed an exploit where players were able to use the Creator in a Free Roam session and spawn in objects or vehicles.
• Fixed an exploit where players were able to use weapons within their apartment and garage to kill other players.
• Vote screens now progress when a Job has received a majority vote.
• Fixed an issue where players could be unable to reclaim their Personal Vehicles from the impound lot after being destroyed.
• Fixed an issue where it was possible for a player to receive hangs and long load times after completing several activities.
• Fixed an issue where players were able to render themselves and the car they were driving invisible to grief other players.
