Just practice timing. I switched to the meter due to lack of speed control

So I started a new RTTS player. He's a LF/OF and got drafted by the Padres. I have him hit/throw righty and I set him to be all power (chicks dig the long ball). I was stoked, hit a home run in his first game. Mid-May in first season and just got called up to AAA Tucson. I should probably not be having it this easy (maybe need to make this hitting difficulty higher) but I dont know, I kinda like dropping bombs every third game while hitting .400 in the minors.

I'm entering year 2 of my RTTS with my SP. I was drafted by the Miami Marlins and traded to San Francisco, where I was called up to AAA in early June.

I started for the USA in the Future's game, pitched 2 solid innings, K'ing 4 before being pulled.

I finished my first season in AAA with a 7-3 record, 2.18 ERA, and a higher WHIP than I would like. But I pitched myself out of many jams.

My pitching arsenal includes a 98 mph running fastball, 88 mph slider, and a sinker that I've gotten up to 92 mph. I just added a 4 seam fastball that I plan on having little movement with, but cranking it to triple digits with pinpoint control. More of a blow by pitch rather than relying on mixing up the runner and the slider for the majority of my outs.

Right now, I'm the #2 pitcher in AAA for the Giants. My manager keeps pissing me off by telling me that other guys are getting the call to the Show, but I'm more than ready to be on the 40-man roster. I'm sick of facing that Rockies AAA club. They just picked up Zack Cozart from Cincinatti, and I'm really tired of facing Cozart, Tyler Colvin, and this roided up 2B prospect that they have named Juan Franco....he's fast as lightning and always finds the gaps vs. me.

You're going to hate hitting in that cavern in PETCO.

Yeah, and I don't expect to be traded because the Padres are thin at that position. It's all good. In AAA I've only hit singles and doubles and I don't expect that to change much in the NL West should I get called up. Weird as it might sound, I kind of want to stay down in AAA as long as I can and just rake in the training points with these easy multi-hit games. That way I can have the hitting ratings as high as possible.

I had a starting pitcher like yours in '11. RFB, circle change, and a slider. He was just like :verlander: once I added a 12-6 curve.

i see the OS fags are finally providing a progress update this year. saying they are about 70% done with the roster.

anyone have any sliders they like to share? i havnt messed around with the sliders yet. it seems like hitting may need a bump up from what i read

As is stands, I play with Veteran hitting (Timing only with stick) and HOF pitching (Pulse)

The only sliders I touched are pitch speed -2
Fielder speed -5 (slow as they go)
                    Fielder reaction -2
I think I have fielder throw speed down 2 .

Auto base running (because I always mess it up)

I think that is all I have touched and I have pretty decent games.

i played a few offline games and it seems like getting good wood on the bat is a problem. i might need to move up solid hits.

only ones i have changed are pitch speed down to 3 and CPU strike frequency down to 3

I have played about 6 games against the CPU in an offline franchise with the Braves, just playing one game out of every series. I haven't touched any sliders, I am just rolling with Vet hitting and All-Star pitching and getting a good range of results.

I have beaten the CPU 4-0 (LAD), 6-5 (COL), 5-3 (NYM) and lost 7-4 (PIT) and 19-3 (MIL).

Might just lower the strike frequency for the CPU since now they are giving me slightly too many pitches to hit, and it's impossible to work a count that way, lol.

i agree. the strike frequency doesnt allow you to work the count enough at the default setting.

I just played the Cubs, lost 9-5. 12 hits for them, 10 hits for me. Might be time to tinker, getting a few too many hits.

Started RTTS for the first time as a RF, right now I am on AA San Antonio Missions (Padres)

Batting .273 on All-Star, default sliders. Any tips to speed up getting the call to at least AAA? I don't really want to sim. I have fielding turned off because that is boring, batting and baserunning only. Also, it shows the RF position being deep.

Only thing you can control is accomplishing your goals. There needs to be a need for you in AAA; someone gets hurt or gets called to The Show, making a slot available/
